For all he should more than share the blame for tonight, I just can’t back the calls for his head. He needs time and he needs players to fit his system.

The fact we’re trying to play a high tempo, high pressing game with Rogic and Turnbull in midfield is absolutely insane. The lack of options is absolutely frightening though. Selling and not replacing Christie was absolutely criminal.

The fact we’re going into games with Ralston and Montgomery attempting to play as inverted fullbacks is equally bewildering.

I honestly don’t think we’re a million miles away domestically, if not in Europe, but the sad reality is we can’t improve much on what we have until at least January, when the transfer window reopens.

What I will say is that he absolutely has to change things for Sunday. Get Scales in at left back and get the midfield three changed. We need McGregor and his energy as one of the two more offensive midfielders. Turnbull was terrible tonight so go with Bitton/McCarthy, McGregor and Rogic on Sunday.

The fact I’m suggesting we start Bitton at holding mid shows how much we’ve regressed, but Ange needs to find a winning formula and frankly the current team isn’t it. Continue to be stubborn and he’ll be out a job though.

Poor result tonight and very frustrating overall.

However on a positive note the lads seem to be trying for him and believe in what hes is trying to do.I,d ignore the EL games as i dont believe we were ever getting anything from them games regardless of what tactics were employed those teams are just a class above us.

We have had a bad run of injuries lately and we seem to be slowly but surely getting our first choice eleven back with a good bench to back them up.Ye their not the greatest footballers ever but their certainly good enough to win the league which is the priority this season.

If we put in the same effort in our league games as we did tonight we should go on a good run and close the gap with the hun, think Ange deserves the backing of the fans at this early stage in the league, the hun are watching and hoping we implode and at this stage of the season i think we need to circle the wagons, theres still a long way to go in the league and we give Ange the backing and hope he turns things round.

And play who....? Every time we drop someone the next guy in the team does well for a game or two and then turns * like half the * team.

That's my point though the board appointing Ange is also a failing on the board but people stand by the appointment whilst telling us the board are under investing

Not disputing the fact thay this is a major rebuild but he has had plenty of opportunities to be judged fairly. If it's not working you change it, you use the tools that you have. Constantly using the players you have in a system you want them to play but are not suited to it or capable of playing it is nieve and stubborn. Most of the support can see that and is being judged on it.

He doesn’t have the players to play his system, but also doesn’t have the ability to create a system for this group of players.

    He’s a dead man walking.

He would not be the first stubborn manager to lose his job because of it, look at Lennon refused to drop some right donkeys last season.

Did he sign them or was he given them?

Abada was clearly a Dudu Duhan special so wouldn’t be surprised to find out he had no idea who either CCV or Starfelt were until we signed them.

Only players I actually think he had any knowledge about is Kyogo and probably Giakoumakis.

Either way he needs to play the hand he’s been dealt.

If he doesn’t go on a winning run in the league he’s gone and the next fall guy will be coming in.

On a side note, I found Lambert and Lennon a riddy tonight..

Pretty bizzare Lennon criticising anyone after the * show his left behind and Lambert now finally finding a voice now he's pal's no in the dugout..

    Disagree there.

I mean, I don’t disagree that he needs players, but I disagree it should be used as a defence of him at this stage.

He needs to be more pragmatic basically. He needs to realise that he’s not getting any more players in until January, ans change his philosophies accordingly, rather than stubbornly hope an entirely fixed variable (right now at least) will change.

    He can’t change his players.

He can adapt strategy to get the best out of those players, and give the club a chance to win games. Let’s do that then, because him sticking religiously to something that clearly isn’t working is just the definition of insanity to me.

We can't afford a euro hangover this weekend and do we really need full backs in the middle of the park domestically surely to * the midfielders are good enough to dominate that area.
kyogo fit again will make a massive difference

    On BBC Scotland just now:

"We had our own chances, if you take 1 of them then you go 1-0 up rather than 1-0 down and that changes the game"

Does it though? We went 2-0 up against Betis and still collected as many points as we did tonight.

This isn't a proper rebuild nor is it transitional, it's a mess.

If we went 2 nil up tonight, I'm pretty sure we still wouldn't of won that game..

They had gear's to go through when we tired..

Watch his interview. He looked a goner. Head down, pausing. Just looked completely done..
