I'm glad he had the balls to admit it but Forrest has no bearing on it he's played Montgomery wide before so he had that option if he didn't want to move Christie

Would have started with that team , the issue i have is wee changed our game! The full backs didnt do what they have been doing , they had decent games still but because our fullbacks game changed it also hindered our wide players as it ended up letting rangers man mark our wide men and keep them from getting into the game. Why ange changed i dont know as he said he would always go with his philosophy! Edouard scores then its a different game

Been making this point for ages.

Our squad, and yes our starting XI too, is miles off it.

There are at least 5 (and that's a really conservative estimate) positions that need filled in and upgraded before Tuesday.

And that doesn't include the Greek guy.

I find it difficult to lay into the manager while he's being undermined by a serious lack of support.

The concern for me was the time it took him to decide that it wasn’t working. It was obvious from early on.

We all said it before the game started. Nevermind the fact he started wrong, it's the fact he sat on his * for 70 minutes and waited till they scored before changing anything.
    Terrible from him today

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
Edouard on the left is a complete no-no for me.

Ive been pretty clear in my mind that there’s no chance of it happening - hence why I agreed with the setup as it was - but for the 2 of them to play together, it actually makes more sense to go 3-5-2 or 4-4-2.

however that doesn’t fit for us elsewhere either, for obvious reasons.

Still rather have edouard in the squad than not though. It SHOULD be a nice worry to have, 2 guys who offer great things through the middle.

But after today, it’s clear that against better opposition, neutralising kyogo by not playing him in his best position is not the way we should look forward.

It’s the concern also if edouard goes and venlo lad comes in.

if edouard goes, all focus needs to instead be on a proper option on the left.

Absolutely, and with Rogic available, he didn’t even need to play Christie at CM.

Made a few mistakes but ultimately the guy is just a scapegoat for the board.

They won’t back him, he’ll either walk or be sacked, and John Kennedy will be given his position permanently, which is the ultimate end game for the board.

    Bingo..

It isn't the lineup that was the problem (even though it became clear early in the second half that it wasn't working)....it was how it was deployed. Why he never switched a player or two around and why he then sat and waited until they scored..

That's the issue some of us have..

Genuinely think the pressure got to him today.

It’s the one and only time since he came in that he’s done anything that reminded me of Lenny: the deer caught in the headlights approach to making subs, etc.

Also the only time I’ve ever thought he underestimated/misjudged a fixture. It really is a derby like no other, and I think he wasn’t personally prepared for it.

The bigger picture is that we're already into the new season but are still piecing together a team, not a good state of affairs, especially given the fact we wasted so much time during the summer.

Also on paper the two games hes lost in the league at tynecastle and ibrox are the two games you could see points being dropped in , i like he admitted that he got things wrong up front so looks like he will learn. Remember this is a work in progress and a few more will come in before tuesday, a lot of games in a short period of time so a wee break will allow some players to recharge and we go again!

Honest to admit it..but a * excuse for Forrest out.

Loads of possibilities and if fans can see it 20 mins in...so should he.

We have played mediocre teams up until this week and then ran into 2 tougher games and we look all over the place....we need more players in though to help him.

I said he made a few mistakes if you read my post properly.

That said, the options from the bench are absolutely appalling.

Have you seen eddy on the left cutting inside at ibrox ? It was made for him and kyogo to swap , so obvious early on , abada should have been off at HT

You seen when eddy went off how effective kyogo was in the middle bar the wrong decisions but he got in there , eddy is better cutting in for the left wing than kyogo

He was told before about how the pressure is here etc and all the Aussies (not literally 'all' ffs before they start) on here said he'd be fine.
Well it looks to me like he just shat the bed

He wouldn’t have had to play Kyogo out of position, had the board went out and got Lovric.

Despite being ravished by Covid, the Huns didn’t have to play anyone out of position. That’s the difference.
