I love that interview. It shows the character of a man he is which is the sort of man we all relate to.

In a strange way, Someone with the personality of Ange, who has the football knowledge with those views and background would be the perfect person to be a Director of Football type for our club.

I think We and Ange are a perfect mix.

I wouldn’t turn, there’s been so much positivity and such a dramatic improvement already. Nobody imagined it would be this quick.

 

Yeah it's been fantastic, and everybody is behind him which is great. I just hope some of our fans realise how much bigger the rebuild needs to be, we're building something special here so hopefully people are patient.

So far so good,he has done brillant and long may it continue.Its early days and we have yet to see how he deals with things when it goes wrong(and at some stage it will).

To me that will give us a clearer picture of how good he really is,i like him and hope hes a huge success but i wont get carried away at this early stage,roll on sunday and lets see how he copes with the pressure that comes with this game,all the indications are he,s well up for it.

 

After last season's dire dire football, it's just genuine fun to watch Celtic again. Sure, Europe is ok but we won't win the cup (this year so, I won't be gutted if that goes wrong (BTW we might actually make more money from the EC league..win more easier games, go further, more dosh) and even if we do lose to the blue Japanese racists..the way we're playing this year, we'll win more games than them so it's ok..Having said that..I truly think we'll do them this time!

 

You just feel though under that polite demeanor is someone who would knock your front teeth out if you crossed them.

Not even me and I've been singing his praises from the start of this thread. My two concerns were that he would never before have dealt with the level of fan expectation at Celtic; and would never have dealt with the kind of agent/player shenanigans (you hear about in Europe) that can wreck a club from the inside.

Seems to have all the players onside and clearly not making the sort of Lennon selections that kept poor performers on the pitch.

As for fan expectations, don't know if they could possibly get any higher at this point.

 

I totally forgot he played under the legendary Puskas. That experience could make a man in itself! Good retort to anyone who claims he hasnt experienced any European pedigree before

Agreed. As fun as recent weeks have been watching the quality and style of football on display not just the wins we have to realize that we still are a long way off where we need to be. We still need to bring in a genuine starting center back and left back. We hope of course Starfelt will come good and Juranovic will prove to be a quality signing. But neither of those things are facts yet. So there is no question that defensively we are a long way off been at the level we need to really compete with top level teams defensively. Then we still have the uncertainty over whether Edouard will be here in a few weeks and the same with Christie which does impact how much more of the rebuild is needed there. Realistically we need another left midfielder assuming Christie leaves be it now, January or at the end of the season and the same can be said for needing a forward.
So for sure loving where we are but we still have a ways to go with this rebuild particularly defensively and also depth wise. Having said all that there is no question we are further along then most of could have hoped we would be at this stage heading into these next 2 massive games.

 

Thanks for sharing, dunno how much homework Celtic had done on him or if he was on their radar but it genuinely seems like he was made for us. If there is such a thing of destiny he seemed destined to come here. Heartwarming hearing about his dad and the insight of how that influenced him.

It's insane to think just how well the players and Ange have gelled together.

The level of performance has to be, way above anyone's honest expectations, so long as the squad can keep this up and also have just a couple more additions before window shuts and maybe 1 or 2 more in Jan just to help with rotation, what Ange could achieve relative to what we thought he would is utterly terrifying.

Can't believe how the mood can change so quickly within the support. Hands up now, no way would Howe have had the same effect.

I mean that's a debate for another day but I don't think Howe would have been getting more than the best out of Ralston for a start.
