I hate saying it but that mob will destroy us on the flanks the way we are playing with our current team. I don't understand the space left at the full back positions

I agree we look open at the back but what is he meant to do? Start implementing his system on the 1st of September or what?

Not his fault the board have * about as usual.

Obviously it’s the bigger picture that matters in the end but no way should we be going into a game v that mob with Taylor, Biton and Ralston. Board cannot allow this, back Ange and quickly

Not just that mob m8 , any semi- competent team will expose us , he needs to tighten it up until he has the talent to play his way .

He needs to sort the defence even when he gets his men in I fear we will still be all to easy to counter with a ball over the top any half decent pacey forwards will fill their boots

You just know they hun * are already working on a system to take advantage of our weakness at the back and especially the acres we leave open at full back areas. It will be criminal if we get to that game without sussing out how to stop this happening, we will get torn to spreads by more than just the huns domestically.

His ideas of wing play don't require full backs to cut inside. We have midfielders capable of playing out to the wide forwards. Both full backs should stay back. That would help.

Agree it will be nervy, but think when Starfelt settles, we get a proper CB in and Mccarthy is ready it'll allow the fullbacks to actually roam.

Two full backs of the adequate calibre are an absolute necessity under his playing style. I know we are in the market for a right back but I really do hope he is demanding a left back too.

Delighted for him that he got his first win under the belt.

Doesn’t alleviate much pressure tbh but it gets the monkey off the back.

I admire the philosophy but if I'm being honest it only works if you have players the quality of lahm and cancelo as full backs.

The fact that he hasn't even mentioned the defense makes me think he doesn't care. He only expressed displeasure at us being able to control the game in the second half.

This is my biggest fear really.

Going forward I think the goals will flow but at the back I really do worry, even with better players.

Not seen the full game, just the goals really.

But if he persists much longer with the same "mistakes" he is gonna be the only one to take the flack here when it goes (continues) to go * up.

We simply do not have the defence at present to play the way he wants. Not even so much that we need to give them time to adjust, we literally do not have the right players with the right abilities to play the way he wants.
He has to, quite simply, * stop it with the inverted full back thing. When your back four is this * chronic, keep it as * simple as you can!

From what I understand, he went yet again with Forrest on the left.

Persisting with Bitton again. I was all for these two pairing (starfelt and bitton) on Saturday, but I had hoped that the continued errors by Bitton (and again tonight) would see Ange come to some sense there.

These are becoming continued issues, every single game now.

He keeps this up and we continue to drop points due to various combinations of these issues, then he is the only one to take the blame.

On an aside, what the * are the support staff actually doing? I thought half the point in keeping the two tadgers was the need to have continuity and folk who "know the club". Seems the only continuity is them not doing * all to support the manager, because surely the second part of that idea would mean haudit and daudit would tell Ange not to play Forrest on the left, that Ralston isn't capable of anything other than the bare basics.
