He’s right though, we lose today fans will go mental after midweek and the general mood around the club. We need a good start. A strong win can change the mood around the club.

…or paper over the cracks for some of our less discerning fans, maybe.

We are where we are. We need to keep the heid. Can only expect so much from Ange when he has Ralston, Barkas and Taylor starting.

Won’t be papering over any cracks at all. It’ll just be a wee bit of progress when we have some of the new signings available and further highlights why injecting quality into the side is such a crucial thing to do.

    Barkas won’t start.

Find it strange that I get equally as excited about coaching staff being hinted at, times are truly grim within our club lol

Definitely something that needs improved massively is the fitness in the squad, the guy in charge just now was the strength and conditioning coach under Rodgers then moved up to fitness coach after Rodgers pinched everyone else. Changes are definitely needed across the whole club.

Deila problem was he didn’t take the opposition players diet to account he took carbs off the menu a high source of energy whilst opponents still had it in their diet

Carbs weren’t off the menu, it was an option that his fitness coach put forward which was a high fat low carb diet that Mulgrew done. The players could still choose.

Was it not a keto diet he done? Not really the best for endurance I'm sure.

Essentially yes, he talked about it on the Open goal podcast. Said he done it while injured and he dropped a good bit of weight but as you say carbs are the most important thing for a footballer.

    EXACTLY.

Simply must keep pressure on them at all times, something we failed at last season.

It's no like we're gonna be signing Mbappe, spending 2-5m on guys with good records in Russian league etc is about as proven quality as we're likely to get.

And in relation to what I was replying to originally about Ange saying significant signings, I mean signings like that rather than some youngster from Watford whose barely played a game at senior level, or a reserve from Everton on loan who turns out to be complete dung

I was thinking more like guys like Sinclair who are proven quality.

I'm hesitant to blame him as he's been hung out to dry but my fears are coming true so far any ball over the top and we're all over the place and we're struggling to break down teams sitting back

If you watch Anges previous teams the players not in play are constantly moving, our players still standing about waiting for the ball to come to them. If they continue that the system will not work, the only way to make space is to have the other team chasing shadows right now we’re predictable and one dimensional. That’s the players fault not the tactics.
