If he decides they have a role to play I'm genuinely fine with it, as long as he does actually have final say on it. Kennedy had a chance to put his stamp on things when Lennon left and failed completely, as a manager, but that doesn't mean he can't be useful in the coaching staff if he can follow instructions from a manager with an actual plan, like he did under Rodgers. That might just be his level.

That hun Ewan Murray having a go about that question being asked as well and having a dig about Celtic allowing it and it not reflecting a big club... the question was asked by a fan. Slippy Gerard was claiming historical bias at the end of his first game.

Good thing is, Ange will see right through these lickspittles with their crayons.

It’s a pretty long answer mate. Wasn’t a typical football answer and just about his background and stuff.

    it’s at 24:50.

Tabloids will be stinging with criticism and might well drive Celtic fans to rage that's a real worry tbh

    Loved Ange at the end...

    “Best press conference ever”

Probably a dig at the dumb formulaic questions the Scottish media ask.

Believes was able to go toe to toe against Holland etc. Because they had an edge with analytics and sport science even though they didn’t have players in the same class as Robben and Van Persie.

Wants us to have an edge over everybody else when it comes to analytics, sport science etc. He’s comfortable knowing his expertise is in coaching and wants the best available in every other role.

Speaks volumes about how bad and out of touch Lennon was that fans are wanting to know if a manager believes in modern football :giggle1:

Loved his honesty about sports science and analytics etc. Said he has trouble opening zoom never mind understanding the intricacies of sports science. :giggle1: However he knows enough to surround himself with the best people who do understand it.

Fans are still angry because of the shambles we endured last season, the hope was that there would be a response, a show of intent and ambition, no harm to big Ange but this isn't what many of us had envisaged.

Good luck to the guy, i hope he can bring us success, can only begin to judge him once we start playing.

Wait till the fans figure a part of that is a guy in the dugout with a laptop or tablet and they’ll be going mental again don’t you worry.

Ange is talking about the 2014 World Cup when Cahill scored "that" goal and Australia should've/could've won the match.

That fan media press conference was even more impressive than the media conference.
Both spoke extremely well and seem determined to make sure the club is firing on all cylinders at the highest possible level.
Was really happy with the answers dom provided throughout, one part that stuck out to me was when he said the club has plenty of fuel left in the tank to grow its revenue domestically and particularly internationally and he aims to address that going forward.

I actually prefer that and think it’s one of the things that’ll help us long term.

You had Rodgers who embraced sports science but thought he knew best and ran players into the ground. Then you had Lennon who didn’t give a *.

Having someone who knows someone else knows better and will listen is the best outcome for everyone. Means we can go and hire the best analyst, medical staff, recruitment staff etc. And they’ll be listened to.

Nah I know mate. Remember that World Cup and Australia were impressive, didn’t know he was the manager until we were linked.

Canny wait for him to get started now.

Liking everything I hear from him.

Deila had good ideas but had nowhere near the same experience or presence as Ange.

Deila was a nice man. Wasn't going to cut it here.

Time will tell if Ange will. I hope he does.

Hopefully keeps his word and fights back when the inevitable dodgy decisions start flowing again.

    “Best press conference ever” :56:

Early days but I couldn’t be more excited going by first impressions.

You get the feeling he absolute 100% knows what he wants and what he needs to achieve and nothing will stop him from going all for it. Wether it’s to do with the type or player he wants or the staff he wants to work with he’s basically saying he doesn’t give a * if you don’t buy into his ideas you’re out.

He was laughing when someone brought up the Bielsa comparison but you can understand why with his style of play and just his presence in general.

Really hope he’s given time because it’s going to be a * of a job to try and turn this shitshow around immediately.

Loved his comments about modern football with the analytics and sport science.

Spoke a lot about the academy so really hope he embraces and starts to try and get a conveyor belt of talent coming through.
