They players have given up on him, I think. Not sure they ever fully bought into it - always seemed like they didn't "get" it in the way ours did. The amount of times I watched them and they clearly weren't following instructions, basic things we did all the time under him.

It's a shame. I love the guy. Hope he goes somewhere else and has a better time.

I rarely pay attention to English football but that team last night looked like they were going through the motions. Zero bite or drive and not like an ange team. I can't see him lasting long.

Agree but most fans down there think their teams are the greatest on earth with no substance! Hence any English fans “farmers league” comments on any Scottish related post. Yet they support the bournemouths, wolves, southamptons of the world

Was always going to happen. Start if the season last year they bought into it...but....i said when he moved there's too many greeting faced prima Donna's who end up having more power than the manager. Just don't like the old school manager who's going to * them for being shitebags or selfish.

Aye it looks like a team that don’t buy into what he’s doing. The only time they have looked like an Ange team recently was against City. They were lazy last night, taking easy options, not brave on the ball and switched off taking their time at shys, free kicks etc. compare that to his Celtic team and the we don’t stop attitude and work rate.

Had a Hun mate after the game message me saying Ange’s Celtic would spank Ange’s Spurs.

Seen a snippet of one of Spurs’ players criticising the board room and the ethos at the club. Was it Kulsevski? I didn’t give more than a cursory glance but it’s obviously an issue with the club, Ange has said similar end of last season, Mourinho said it and Conte had a belter of a rant about it. All 3 are absolute winners, it’s interesting that.

Ange criticised Kulsevski for saying it today at his presser. He also ripped Werner a new one for his performance last night after saying only a few days ago he didn't like to publicly criticise players. He's losing it just now.

To be fair, Werner looks like he has never saw a football before, but Ange signed this dud, along with £60M of other crap.
His players look like they have downed tools for him, and that can only end in one way.
I like Ange, but he is so one dimensional as a manager it frustrates the life out of me, and probably his own players too.

Think a lot of the big money signings were forced on him tbh.

    * * just seen the result that’s huge. Was telling my mate today (none Celtic fan who asked who I preferred as a manager) and my answer was Rodgers based on anges teams being so exciting but so inconsistent.

Spurs don’t know ‘winning’. If I was them I’d take losing to Chelsea 4-2 in a brilliant spectacle and winning 5-0 the next game than winning 1-0 in each game

I’ll never be able to understand this mentality.

I get that football is entertainment at its core, but I get far more out of us putting a successful team on the park than I would in putting out a stylish team who underperform.

You’re a Celtic fan like me who only knows winning….i wouldn’t accept it for Celtic. But I can think outside myself in the mindset of a teams fans who don’t achieve success.

How boring it must be to be a Burnley, Sheff utd and Everton fan who consistently play * football. I’m sure they would take losing 4-2 to Chelsea and winning 5-0 the next week as opposed to park the bus football that achieves less goals but the same points.

It has to be both IMO. It's all about balance. It's probably true that all the pretty football in the world means little if you don't win anything; but I honestly think the same is true for all the trophies in the world if you play awful football.

For every happy Celtic fan, there's an unhappy Hun fan right now. Vice versa if they had won. If football is just a zero-sum game where winning is everything, then it's all a bit pointless IMO; what one side gains, the other loses. So last week they were (if you believe they're the same club) the most successful club in Scotland and now we are? Come on, man. In 50 years, this will mean about as much as who can * highest against a wall.

In contrast, great football brings real joy that isn't balanced by pain on the other side. It's a net positive that really exists and can't be taken away. There were a couple of passing sequences against Leipzig that filled me with genuine happiness (and to judge by the reaction of the crowd, I'm not the only one). No Leipzig fan will have felt any pain from those sequences. It's a pure gift from football to us. The magic comes from having just enough competitiveness to scaffold all this beauty.

Competition is like salt: a little brings out all the other flavours; too much ruins everything. Winning will always be important; but the moment it becomes the only thing, we've lost our way.

Was watching their vlog for the rangers game night before with the training they did their stretches and ground work in the tunnel ….. because it was cold outside … he won’t win anything with a squad of pampered prima Donna’s

Yeah I get that. But then the best nights I’ve had as a Celtic fan would include CL victories, where I knew we weren’t going all the way (in the same way Burnley, Everton etc would know in the Premiership) but was delighted just to have progressed, in the exact same way that a Burnley/Everton wouldn’t believe they’re going to win the league if they beat Man City.

If it’s a straight choice of more goals for and against with the same points/results, then yeah everyone would take that option over less goals but the same results.

What I mean though is less goals, less entertaining football, but better results in terms of trophies and progress. Id take Gordon Strachan over Tony Mowbray anyday, for example.

Hard to overstate just how huge a night this for Ange. He really needs to deliver a trophy this year.
