As already mentioned i think a mid to lower end EPL club would've been better for him, don't blame him for taking the gig but everyone knows including Ange himself that spurs are a basket case of a club, with supporters who have unrealistic expectations.

The signings have been brutal, i watched Werner tonight and wondered how he actually made it as a professional footballer, he looked like a competition winner, and that's being kind to the guy.

Hate to say it but he needs to be sacked. A year and a half in and they still look a total shambles

Said it in the Rangers thread, I don’t think I have seen such an expensively assembled team look like they lack the basics so badly.

    - Pedro Porro basically an expensive Bernabei.
    - Dragusin an expensive Lagerbielke slow takes an age on the ball
    - Udogie, an expensive Bollingoli, some nice touches but no positional sense or clue what’s going on around him.
    - There full midfield, backing out of tackles, playing blind passes round a corner in their own half. It was like watching Hatate on his worst day but having 3 of them.
    - Werner made Maeda look like Lubo.
    - Son looks well past his best, no pace and slow to do anything with it.
    - Johnson looked like an Abada that couldn’t finish.

That Sarr that came in constantly backing out of tackles, misplacing passes, caught wrong side constantly.

To have spent what they have for what they have got is genuinely insane you could have put together a better team for the money they go for Kane.

Absolutely agree mate I probably didn't make my point how I wanted it to come across but I suppose I mean more in terms of fan expectation. Spurs have very high expectations based off literally nothing in a football sense whereas at somewhere like Brighton the expectations are much less and you can be a great success story without winning anything

He’ll be gone soon. They’ve been a bit of an embarrassment since his first 15 or so games.

Looks utterly incapable of fixing it.

He looks and sounds broken. Probably never realised how good he had it here.

If you take a closer look at his career, his win % has always been pretty inconsistent, despite delivering trophies.

Here he had the full backing of the club, the fans, the players. We have the best players in the country and his football utterly dominated. We were the perfect fit for him in many ways.

You can't expect to replicate that at a basket case like Spurs, especially given their fragile mentality, tight owner and petulant fanbase. Of course, the level of teams he's competing against is nothing like he's ever experienced before either.

Feels like a matter of time for him now. He's shown a naivety/arrogance down there that has obviously done him well in his career so far, but at some point you need to have a rethink about your approach.

I thought Ange was done after the Chelsea game.

An aging Fraser Forster saved his team from a tanking tonight. Looks like he has lost the dressing room now and the players have chucked it. £60M blown on absolute dross, and Werner, no words can describe how bad he is.

Levy will be very, very wary of letting Ange blow anymore money.

Saw at the end him almost berating Porto and dragusin individually (which they deserved it) but they didn’t look pleased.

don’t think his style of play works at the very top. Players who are already millionaires won’t kill themself for 90 minutes charging about like Maeda. Bentancur wont make it his goal to dominate that whole midfield because why should he? Players don’t want it enough for him.

I would imagine he's fuming with all that team.

None of them did hardly any running. 70 minutes it took Ange to get them to start closing the huns down.

Massive wages & they can't be arsed to run for 90mins.

He should've went Leeds when he was linked if he wanted EPL. Fair play he didn't leave us in the lurch as it was January they came in for him but spurs was the wrong club for him in so many ways.

That's as bad as an English side I'd ever seen btw.

Not that we've had many encounters with English sides, but over the past 20 25 years.

Theyre very lucky that it was the huns they drew in the competition and not us.

We would've * murdered Spurs tonight.

The main difference was desire, Tottenham had * all what so ever.

If Ange couldn't get them up for that game, of all games, he's *.

He’d have done well for 1/2 seasons and then failed there due to finances. Spurs was definitely the right move at the right time. Levy just hasn’t backed him totally…. Solanke is never in a million years an Ange striker. Kulusevski for how brilliant he is also doesn’t strike me as the pressing athletic Ange winger. Werner? Not even worth the comment. Only players I think he had a hand in asking for is Archie gray, dragusin and Bergvall. All 3 he seems to trust.

which when he came here didn’t he give a few players that were a must? Then left the rest up to the club to secure. So maybe it’s on him also for not pushing more or denying players

Aye he's been sold short by Spurs.
But then, every manager usually is by them and Levy.

You want Ange, you need to back him and his style.
    Same for any manager.
The entire point of signing these guys, specially at the top end, is because you buy in to their style, philosophy etc. so back him and support him.

You don't hire him for his high intensity, high pressing style that needs athletic, fast, pressing players - then sigh slow and lazy *.

    Madness.

It's the same with us and Rodgers (specially the first stint and yet to be seen if we've turned the corner this season in regards backing him). You need to back him with players he wants - McGinn etc. and not just thrust players on him.

Can't agree. A team with bottling it and failing in it's DNA and a fan base who have delusions of grandeur, not particularly passionate, albeit a stadium that can generate a good atmosphere.. but to me they don't have the same mentality as him, as demonstrated by the whole 'throwing the city game to * arsenal' debacle last season.

I said before that group of players are not even a top10 team for me.
I doubt very much he has any say in players as ones that have come in don't seem his style whatsoever
He should started at a lower level epl team and build his stock from there.

It’s musta crossed his mind last night that a couple of years ago he could rock up there with a team with a 10th of the budget of his current team and win. Not only win, create chances, defend and just genuinely work harder all over the park.

EPL is overrated to * and poisonous. So many mercenaries.

Guys on a 100k a week plus getting bullied about the park by a bunch of journeymen who stuggle to beat Dundee United on the same park a couple weeks ago.
