I always thought back then the two clubs that scared me because, when looking from the outside, they appeared amazing well run (more so now for 1 of them) was Brentford and Brighton.

I think hes doing adequately at Spurs, but as its the EPL their own fanbase and probably the surrounding opinions all likely think he's still got something to prove and is effectively this Aussie invader.

Personally still hold the view that he will do a Moyes and get a European trophy but it is going to come at the sacrifice of a top 8 finish and it's going to leave so many divided.

 

Was more the fact that him and his agent were working on it for months aggressively pushing for it. It wasn't as if he was suddenly offered the opportunity and couldn't refuse. Was a totally different scenario from how he got the Celtic job

Ange needs to wise up. He won't get to see the Europa League out if he keeps * up in the league. Levy values top 4 more than any cup success.

The fact that Emery is beating him to that target with a club who were relegation candidates when he came in, and with a lower net transfer spend, is making a complete mockery of him.

 

Seen him being a stroppy fud with another journalist for asking a valid question again the other day. Can’t stand the guy.

 

Hardly. Emery is a genius. Literally one of the best managers in the world. The only full season we can judge Ange on, he took Spurs from 8th to 5th and outperformed Howe, Pocchetino and Ten Hag in the league. Calling that a mockery because he was outperformed by Emery is not a fair take.

Aye but Pocchetino and Ten Hag have been sacked, and Howe's jackets on a shoogly peg as well.

Even the genius Emery got his jotters from Arsenal after not doing too differently from how Ange is doing with Spurs.

League position is everything and coming 5th with Spurs is pretty average. If he looks like he's dropping out the top 6 he'll get binned faster than a mouldy loaf.
