Hope he goes to a club with ambition, whether down there or another league. He’s clearly unhappy with their loser mentality and looking around the stands seeing the supporters actively celebrating losing he must have been asking himself some questions.

They were already turning against him after their * form since Xmas. He won’t get a job bigger than Spurs if he walks away. He hasn’t proven himself. He has shown a naivety this season that will prevent him getting any of the really top jobs in my opinion.

Their away dressing room was getting flooded last week when they played Arsenal and their stadium is falling apart. They are a joke of a club just now. Postecoglou won’t get the chance to sort it anyway, so that’s all hypothetical.

He was unbelievable for us and I love the guy and his attitude, but I think he’ll always struggle at the very top level for consistency due to his tactical naivety.

I couldn’t believe some of the things I was watching in our European games, as entertaining as it could be. Going 2-0 up at Real Betis and proceeding to leave gaps as wide as the Clyde being a particular highlight.

I think he’d suit Bayern Munich perfectly. They’d blow the other German teams away with that style and with them there’s always the chance of European success.

I'm surprised at the number of comments I'm seeing online about him being apparently "found out" at this level, did spurs not finish 8th or 9th last season? Now he's got them up to the european places and that's taking Kane's goals out of the team, what was the expectation here exactly? A bit more depth with players suited to the way he wants to play and there's no reason they don't improve again next season.

And in spending terms, spent * all relative to most teams down there.

Think he might have just realised that levy is full of *, fans are perpetual losers, and players don't like to work hard and are too sensitive.

This. They finished 8th last season and he's got them up to 5th even after they sold their best player. They have the 7th-biggest wage bill, so he's outperforming expectations there too. He's finished ahead of Howe, Ten Hag and Pochettino. He himself says they have a long way to go to play the way he wants them to. Also, the nature of that league is that every single manager outside the top 3 has taken some absolute spankings at times, including genuinely world-class managers like Emery and Pochettino and very good managers like Howe and De Zerbi, so I wouldn't necessarily say Ange has been especially naive.

All in all, he's clearly done a very, very good job.

Curse of the English media, he’ll be under pressure down there no matter what. They love creating news

Loved seeing this, the man clearly has a big place in his heart for Celtic. More than that, looking at the team that has got us over the line in the title, he deserves a lot of credit for leaving the club in such great shape allowing for continued success after his departure. Hail Hail big Ange!

I think at the start of the season, some people underrated what a good manager Rodgers is and just how good his achievements down in England really were; but I've got to be honest, mate, I prefer big Ange. It's like someone combined the likeability of Ronny, the honesty and passion of Lenny and the managerial skill of Rodgers all in one person.

I love them both and if in the future BR wants to move on I would welcome Ange with open arms.
