I’d have to know the circumstances. Like last night. In my opinion Spurs haven’t been hurt last night as they are going to finish where they are anyway.

No one would be sad about it, that's not the issue.

I cannot imagine in any scenario where the majority of Celtic park celebrates when another team scores here, even if it means Rangers don't go top. After the game I have no doubt people would be like ah well at least Rangers didn't go top, but for those 90 minutes you back the team.

Way he’s talking sounds like he wants to leave because he can’t change it unless he wipes out all their * fans and starts again which could never happen

Was always totally the wrong culture of club for him, but he thought he knew better and could hardly wait to jump ship, so * him.

Absolute levels man. When he was here he could see our fans doing huddle celebrating winning *, now he is looking at Spuds doing their 'poznan' celebrating getting pumped at home. Disgusting :99:

I don't wish him any harm but I also don't care or have any sympathy about his meltdown last night..

He was angling out the door clear as day for a while before he did. He's a very experienced coach that's driven and wanted to go as soon as he could to the EPL. Fine....but don't then cry when things don't go your way..

Don't get too attached was his line about players and probably his self..

So this naivety he's been displaying doesn't overly wash with me..

He sold is the dream and romanticised it over and over then slipped out the door..

Loved him here but mega meh..

He'll be out the door rapid now..

Won't be surprised if he walks away at the end of the season. He'll achieve nothing at Spurs.

Next year they'll probably finish even lower in the league with the additional European fixtures. And they're supposed to be signing Serge Gnabry as their star player. * that

I don't want him to do well at spuds but that's because I absolutely despise them and nothing really got to do with him as a person. Spuds are a joke of a club and their supporters are utter *...

He will do nothing of note with them especially since Hawwy left. If he couldn't get top 4 this season which from what I've seen is a really poor standard compared to previous seasons..forget it

Loved him when he was here, still do tbh but the last month or so he’s lost the plot completely and last night may well end up costing him his job. Not immediately but it’ll be very difficult for him to turn things around having gone after the players, fans and board like that last night.

Spurs was probably the worst fit for him in terms of where they’re at as a club and where their ambition is. But ultimately he made his choice, he was desperate to go, so he has to get on with it.

He’d suit a decent club on the continent rather than the EPL I think.

Meh,another manager thats jumped and then realises what he could have been hailed as if he stayed.

Dont really care tbh,Spurs fans are total * and deserve all they get.....* All.

Its a shame these managers * off as quick as they can the second a job down there appears and more than likely end up regretting it...I dont mean the glamour of working down there but the chance of winning Cups and Leagues and playing in Europe.

Maybe he will get lucky and get another job outside that shithole of a club

Don't think there's any naivety in demanding his team tries.

But I rarely watch EPL and other than this thread don't keep up on Ange so no idea why I'm even replying! Sober too so don't even have that excuse :39:

If they could have pulled of a win them CL was a real possibility.

His team did try though. They were quite unlucky to get beat..

Son for example missed a 1 on 1 just before they got the penalty chasing the game..

He's deffo on about the support and maybe people upstairs or something I think..

I think he'll turn them around given time.

That being said, where are all the Aussies on this forum at these days?

I've reached a point in my life, mate, where I can see that Bobby Robson had it exactly right (as quoted by Jose Mourinho):

The amount of suffering in this world, including in rich countries, is unbelievable and to be willing to deprive yourself of a bit of joy (CL qualification) just to deprive the fans of your rivals of a bigger joy (the title) is just not constructive. It doesn't get you anywhere. It doesn't help you build anything. For me, Ange is spot on about this.

This is the kind of reason I didn't want Rangers back: because their club's presence brings us down to the same level sometimes, whether it be open letters about VAR or this kind of nosense here.

Hadn't realised that they tried, as I say don't really follow it. What's everyone going on about then? Spurs fans being *?

Sounds like he's gone off the deep end then. Ah well what goes around comes around.

According to TalkSport, Spurs are 7th in terms of wage bill. All 4 teams above them have a higher wage bill and all 4 managers above him, Pep, Klopp, Emery and (say it through gritted teeth) Arteta are geniuses. He's exceeded expectations.

The question is not why they aren't 4th or why they are behind City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Villa; the question is why they aren't 7th, why are they ahead of Manchester Utd and Newcastle (my answer would be because Ange is a better manager than Howe and certainly better than Ten Hag).
