He won’t be back here. He is a brilliant manager who done incredibly well considering what he took over here. Rodgers left here because he was getting shafted, Postecoglou left because he felt he could go further. Rodgers is back here because he is a Celtic fan, regardless of what people think, and is a top manager who has achieved more in England than Ange ever will. That’s a fact. Give Rodgers the money to take us forward and folk will stop fawning over Postecoglou. I loved Ange, but folk need to get over him.

I like the big guy and appreciate what he did for us, but he knew what he was taking on when he went tae Spurs, more money and a chance to test himself in a better League, but it comes at a price, great when things are going well ....

    That's not a fact; it's a prediction.

    Spurs can't sack him.

He has taken them up levels without Kane to depend on with the goals.

He does need money to get the players he needs. It will be concerning that Maddison's form has dropped right off.

I don't think Brennan Johnson has done enough either. That's two of Ange's big money signings not being good enough. Although Maddison looked quality prior to injury.

Levy is notorious for pulling the trigger on managers, but if has any sense he'll give Ange time and backing.

He doesn't strike me as a guy who regrets any of his decisions even if they're wrong.

Spurs is hands down the "biggest" club that would come in for anyone managing us, he wasn't wrong to jump at the chance. If he succeeds there the world's his oyster. Even look at Pochettino, eventually sacked by Spurs and has went on to manage PSG and Chelsea.

This is more or less what I think too. 5th or at worst 6th is OK for a first season. Look at who's above him. Pep, Klopp and Emery are all absolute geniuses and Arteta is a scumbag but also clearly a very talented manager. It's neither fair nor realistic to expect Ange to waltz in and have Spurs above them in a single season.

He's a fantastic manager; but he's not Gandalf FFS.

He's currently still above Ten Hag and Howe, 2 very good managers who've had more time and a much higher net spend than Ange. He's doing OK.

And yet I fear for him.

Ange in his Ange doc said he never goes back so i doubt he'd ever come back. I think he'll get a second season (sounds mad when you type that).

I’ve watched them quite a lot this season. He doesn’t have the players he needs yet, not even close.

They’re actually not even playing Angeball yet. They’re very slow and lots of passing back needlessly. He will need a few windows, he’s doing well compromising for now.

Come back to me in 12 months. It’s a fact. He needs to finish 2nd, 5th and win an FA Cup to match Rodgers. That’s no happening.

On top of the 5th this season.

It is entirely possible that it will be a fact in 12 months (if, for example, he retires or he's no longer with us); but it's not a fact here and now. It's a prediction.

Why? What difference will that make? A correct prediction is still a prediction and not a fact unless and until it happens.

Is he getting into the champions league next year if he comes fifth? If so that’s massive and will comfortably save his job IMO

Think it's 4 now with English teams getting knocked out this year earlier than expected.

His job is safe! Not his fault that Villa have been exceptional this year! Next year, that'll be the measure of the boards thoughts on him... If they back him wholeheartedly he'll be able to bring in the few top-notch players to push on, if not he'll bring in some players that'll make it a rerun of this season, and you'll probably see him jump... He's not stupid!

I'm actually surprised he didn't come up on Utd's radar... I think he'd do damned well for them!

That’s why I said come back in 12 months. Because I don’t think he will still be in England in 12 months.
