It's a 12 month rolling contract so I wouldn't be too bothered if it was 12 months or 12 years, spurs want him now, not in 12 months so should be paying accordingly..

I do get all that, but apart from each of the wins against Sevco, Real Madrid at home was my favourite match this season despite the result. Watching us go head-to-head with Europe's best, and actually doing it well for 60 minutes where we could and probably should have been in front was brilliant to see.

Being pragmatic and nominally 'tough to beat' is far from being a guarantee of success. The Huns reached a final (which begrudgingly was an achievement) yet did so qualifying from their group with less points than we had in ours. Had we qualified, who's to say that we couldn't have gone on a run ourselves? It probably would have come too soon for this group in their first season under Ange, but getting out of the group is the first step and then things can happen from there. Besides, look how their 'more solid' approach fared this season at UCL level. Zero points, pumped in every match, worst qualifying campaign in CL history. Sad.

We absolutely weren't good enough this season in Europe, but there was enough there to think it was something we could build on. A bucket load of chances created but not taken, hitting the woodwork multiple times, long periods of matches like Shaktar away where we were in control. Would much rather see us try to continue that approach under someone like Knutsen, with certain tweaks here and there to make us more robust defensively, as opposed to tearing it up and chucking 10 men behind the ball.

 

10 men behind the ball is something any team should be able to do. We even have an insanely fast attack (Kyogo, Jota, Maeda, Abada) that should have been the primary reason to do a mid block and absorb pressure until we can counter.

 

They could have been wanting to speak to multiple candidates. In fact, I'd be surprised if they didn't.

 

Some * on kds said he wanted Woods and Kewell as well but they want to stay. Woods knocked back BR if I recall. Kewell would really surprise me though considering Ange brought him in and he might not have a job when we get a new manager. Maybe he knows Ange won't last at Spurs long either

 

Some one saying seven million been offered in compo any truth in this ?

The figure I just read reported was £5m for Ange, so possibly £7m for the lot might not be far off. It was reported Kennedy has a significant 6 figure release clause in his deal when being spoken about for the Hearts job.

There’s no point in Celtic trying to keep Kennedy if it’s true he’s keen to go.

 

Think now it's time I admit that I always found it incredibly awkward and cringe when Ange done that long distant stare into the crowd and tapped the crest after games.. luckily I suppose for him he won't have to do it too often at spurs..

It's a dialysis room, we use it to sober up Bernabei before he drives home.

 

Would be impressed and happy with Kewell if he decided to stay. Would keep some form of familiarity.

When a team like Spurs come calling you most likely aren’t turning it down. That I understand, but why not just say so ok Saturday before or after game?
