Stop with the leaving end of season *, planning for the next season happens well in advance, transfers, friendlies etc etc

All that * is thrown in the gutter now when the manager * off and played everyone by being a deceptive * about it. All the * about fans being important etc all that rhetoric ramped up in recent weeks.

So I’ll say * him and * off!

Not gonna go too overboard on the criticism or looking into things he's said and gone back on ultimately football moves quickly and as much as spurs are nowhere near us as a club in stature and history - their ceiling is higher. He's not leaving Celtic for Spurs, he's leaving the SPFL for the EPL.

This will happen time and again with managers and players if they're successful here. That's just the nature of the beast. Gutted he didn't want to push on again this year when we wer just starting to purr but we are in a far far better position than when he took over.

Over to the board now to get the next man in and continue what Ange has started. The foundations are set and if any player wants to follow him out the door then we should be demanding huge fees to boost the transfer kitty.

When is a good time to leave if not the end of the season?

Honest to *, there’s some serious throwing the toys out of the pram going on here.

Arne Slot did it. You don't have to say that you're leaving. You can just address the rumours and say that you're speaking with your current club about the next steps and what's best for everyone.

Slot even confirmed that he would like to manage abroad, not another team in Holland and that the ideal place to work would be the Premier League. Aye, he knocked them back and probably had every intention of doing so but it's still a bit of transparency.

He’s clearly not been forthright with anyone including the board, that’s the problem here just stringing everyone along incase the spurs deal fell through.

Don't think that's much more than we were going to be offering him? Someone mentioned £70k a week. That's £4m a year.

Nobody on here knows what has and hasn’t been discussed with the board, or when it became apparent to them that the Tottenham vacancy was a possibility. For all we know he made them aware a couple of weeks ago.

I don't recall this vitriol when Ronnie Deila left and Ange has done more for us than he did.

If we hadn't been in the cup final Ange could have been more open about his intentions.

However he rightly kept stuhm until the cup was in the bag

70k a week is just over 3.6 million.

5 million a year is just over £96k a week.

1.4 million more if you believe the talks he was offered £70k a week here.

And the media goes into over-drive that he's gone, and disrupts the team and campaign.

Beside no-one knows when it there was a serious approach from Spurs, and Postecoglou knows not to believe everything he is told- he got jerked around by AEK before coming here for example.

I think Kyogo and Hatate would be nailed on to go with him. Nobody else I don’t think.

Levy wouldn’t want to buy CCV back. Jota isn’t quite at that level, he needs a dominant season up here. McGregor wouldn’t go I doubt.

Im getting more annoyed the more i think about it he has known for weeks by the sounds of it but was beating his chest, quoting Tommy Burns and saying he couldn't possibly be distracted by spurs etc. He's handled it appallingly and treated us all like idiots.

He has a cheek to go on about players not being committed etc. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

People lecturing Ange how to handle the Scottish Media now. :56:

Oh and the lectures are based on BLIND SPECULATION about when he had an offer from Spurs and what he may or may not have said to the board behind closed doors. :56:

He’s handled himself impeccably well. He focused on his job, made as little comments as he possibly could and delivered a treble.

People are clutching at straws because they’re bitter he is leaving.

Which you shouldn’t because absolutely no one knows that.

Same as they don’t know what Spurs are offering.

Just get him out the door already instead of messing around. The quicker we rebuild the better

Yeah, I don't think he's done much wrong to be honest. I'd have preferred he'd stayed on but it is what it is. We move on, I just hope the board get the next appointment right.
