    Backing him was entirely to our benefit though. Not just because of the success, but because he has identified and developed numerous players who are worth significantly more today than what we paid for them. Some of you guys are almost making it sound like he was some charity case we've kindly helped out. We backed him because it has worked out really well for us.

    Whatever happens (and I'll be disappointed if he leaves so soon) he leaves us in a much better place.

    He's handled is shockingly bad. Been exposed as a lying *. Fine, go get more money etc. But don't play the fans, thump the chest, quote Tommy, give all the speeches ... Makes you look like a right *.

    We have had this model long before Ange came in. Van Dijk, Tierney, Ajer etc.

    It’s what he has said that’s the issue, not that he wants to move on.

    Can’t speak for anyone else but I wouldn’t be this wound up if it wasn’t for the I’m here for the long haul spiel.

    This is not anger at losing a manager, it’s hurt at someone who looks to have played us.

    There’s never a good time. Waiting a week or two and I guarantee folk would be losses at him for dragging it out, and eating into our time to replace him.

    You can love the club and still move on.

    I don’t really know what people wanted him to say in the lead up to the final? More transparency would have been great but it’s a lose lose situation for him. He couldn’t have said anything or done anything and not be slated for it.

    Staying quiet about anything but us, getting the job done, connecting with the club. That’ll do for me.
