Ange Postecoglou

Discussion in 'Ex Players' started by Mr. Slippyfist, May 29, 2021.

Maybe I'm being spoiled and childish and I appreciate that I can't be pure buzzing when he doesn't give the daft media anything normally then annoyed when he is bullish and refuses to give them anything about this.
It does leave a bitterness though, the soundbites about how long he will be here, quoting Tommy Burns just last week and saying it is disrespectful to talk about anything other than the game today, I think it's also a bit disrespectful to fans not answering when all it would take is to be like, nah am no going or yeah I've loved it here and nothing lasts forever. As I say maybe I'm just being too emotional about it all.

  4. Yep,try to enjoy the night people.....Question it all tomoro about his visions etc...

  5. Looks to me like he's off... However, the way he said that he's speaking with whoever he needs to speak with - that could be DD and PL, regarding a new contract.

I don't think so... Just putting it out there.

  6. Can't help but feel slightly betrayed by him. I understand it, but he owed us one more season at least.

How can I be happy and gutted at the same time. What a bittersweet day man.

  7. I don't really get what the BBC interview meant, he said he wasn't going to answer it because he wanted to be a bit selfish but surely now that the season is over he should just tell us as it is.

I've no doubt the next 48 hours there's going to be many Celtic fans worried waiting for the answer lol.

  8. If that was the case then fine but it’s clear as day he had negotiations with the board had a gentleman’s agreement then his snake of an agent spoke with Tottenham before preparations for the cup were started

  9. It's simple. If he's staying, there's no need to not answer the question.

  10. Don't think anything has been decided yet. He'll be in limbo like the rest of us. DD probably raging beacuse he'll need to at least try and get somewhere in the region if what Spurs are offering, unless it's mental money.

  11. Now just got to hope that Levy rubs him the wrong way.

  12. After that interview it’s 99% clear he’s gone - would be delighted to be wrong
But hes not going to ruin the day
Never felt so flat after a win never mind a world record treble

  13. So much for the project of turning us into a competitive European side.. or even having a decent European campaign before leaving.

  14. Nothing wrong with quoting Tommy in the context in which he did. It was fitting in the moment.

I agree with the surprised how long he'll be here comment, its very disappointing now. But at the same time, I seriously doubt he expected a top 6 EPL side to come knocking.

I'm * gutted but all things considered I can't blame him for taking the opportunity

  15. Took over when we were a shambles, signed some great players, won 5 trophies and made us millions getting to the champions league twice.
If he leaves then he leaves us in a far stronger position than when he arrived, wish him all the best.

  16. DD and PL looked like they were fizzing at 3-1 up. * hate uncertainty snd really hate modern life, loyalty is just a monetary figure for most.

  17. People have every right to be angry with being sold this particular message.

  18. Ange still keeping his cards close to his chest. Seems as if he's maybe not made up his mind and will speak to Spurs next week as rumoured. If I was a betting man I'd say he was off though.

These things can often be a blessing in disguise. Hopefully DD has been on the ball and has been sounding a new manager out just incase.

  19. It has been pretty clear for a while now I'd say that he is away. Looks like there are a good few players away as well judging by the reactions at the end. We will have to start again. Interesting summer.
