Yeah a big part of my fear is if we go backwards. And the number of players who might leave.

    Fs.

In reality, as much as we rate Ange, he doesn't have the CV that would command respect from most top level players. For that reason, it's too early for him to go.

Ange would control any room he is in.

Any pre conceived notions would be out the window in minutes. If not there’s the door.

The man has stature. You can’t teach that.

    * hate when this * happens. * EPL clubs steaming in and taking our best talent. Both players and managers VVD, Wanyama, Edouard, Tierney and then there was the Brendan Rodgers scenario.

All we can do is hope that he isnt tempted by like tripling his salary and that he realises that this job at Spurs is a poisoned chalice.

Thats what it is to be honest. Its the same as probably the Aberdeen job up here. They're fans still expect them to be winning things and winning things regularly where in reality there is not much hope of that being the case, given the competition. Its the same at Spurs. Plus they have a nutter of a chairman who quite clearly calls the shots and goes over the manager's head constantly. I hope Ange can see this and can see where his bread's buttered up here with us

Exactly, if he goes then players like CCV, Hatate and Jota might be leaving but I'm still quite confident Ange will be signing a new contract and staying after the final.

It's just different in England. Big money, big egos, the nasty tabloids...the overall sense of entitlement will work against any manager who is unproven.

Tbh the fact the Feyenoord manager knocked them back is one thing I'm clinging to.

We will just need to wait and see.

It's just another daft Twitter site tbh, there's no substance to any of it.

No he won't get an easy ride down there but it won't because of his talent or personality or presence.

Tabloids, Sky etc love getting managers the sack.. its news.. I don't think he will have a problem with the players

    Interesting.

That then makes me worry though as Spurs have appointed that Munn, who is Australian and ex chief executive of City football group in Asia I think, as their chief footballing officer :giggle1:

You'd have to imagine he's the one behind the push for Ange.

I don’t want to state the obvious but I hope he stays longer. 2 years isn’t enough to build a legacy or become a Celtic legend so I feel he has unfinished business here, I will be bitterly disappointed if he leaves given his talk of legacy and surprising everyone by how long his tenure would be.

On the flip side it’s hard for someone to turn down a chance to at least triple his wages and test themselves against the best managers in the world. A far cry from Jack Ross, Derek McInnes and Jim Goodwin.

He didn’t claim to be a Celtic fan before he got here and leave halfway through the season so it won’t be a Rogers situation at least.

Have one more crack at the champions league please Ange
