The recent signings haven't had the desired impact, yet. As much as we've had success in the market the jury is very much out on a few from this season.

Only way to find out if some of these guys are good enough is to play them in games like this. Tells us more than playing them against motherwell or hibs.
Bernabei and kobayashi not good enough.

This was the perfect game for ange to fire these boys in. A free hit against them and tells us exactly who's good enough and who's not.
Hate getting beat by them right enough.

They are not B team players FFS... they are squad players which most of whom have played plenty of times for us in big games..

I'm glad in a way how * some of them were because it shows we need better players in the summer

Both defeats this season have came from him making too many changes.

I get that Ralston/Kobayashi had to play, but starting Bernabei, Oh and an unfit Abada was madness, and if any game called for subs at the 45 min mark, it was this one.

It's his biggest weakness, he needs to be far better when rotating teams, we have 3 more games after today, didn't need to rotate so much.

Cant keep waiting until the 60 minute mark to make the changes that are clearly required.

Needs to stick with the in form players as well instead of putting in players who are not yet fit and expecting them to perform like they did pre injury.

Don't agree with that at all and I imagine that's the way Ange thinks.

I love the guy and everything he has achieved with us, the record books won't show a meaningless victory for the huns, they'll show us with the big 3. :yeah:

Not happy today with the squad, performance, result and the manager. We should be doing all we can to destroy that team where ever we play them. I hope today shows Ange that we need 4 top signings for next year. He needs to weed out the dross from the squad. Some of them are not up to the standard that we need to better ourselves. The squad needs strengthened for a European run in 2023-24 season

Mate no need to preach to me, I agree with ye 100% I’d rather play our strongest team and beat them all day. I just think in terms of to us it’s a mistake but maybe to him he’s thinking these players need a competitive game. Dead rubber as they say but don’t get me wrong would have loved nothing more than to pump them *

Agree. Barely makes a change then makes them all at once.

But the bigger issue for me is his inability to set the team up to handle a basic counter-pressing game like the one the Huns have nullified us with today (and in all honesty, for the three derbies prior to it as well, to lesser extents).

I remember the 90's like it was yesterday mate, the bad times, these are great times for Celtic fans, being an auld codger i really appreciate everything all the more. :67:

Losing ain't great, even worse when something depends on it, i can live with today, canny get too down when we've had such a cracking season, on the cusp of a treble. :50:

It's a * getting beat by them, absolutely.

But the challenge ange has next year is making us more competitive in the champions league. That game today shows him our back up left back and centre half aren't up to it and I wouldnae be surprised to see new signings coming in on the back of it. The same players would probably look semi decent against hibs or motherwell.
