If he stays here a few more years and helps us overtake oldco and sevcos total league and trophy haul he’ll go down as the best since Stein IMO

Stein was here for ten years.Won Nine in a Row Leagues.
Won the European Cup. Narrowly lost a second European Cup Final. Was a penalty kick away from a third European Cup Final. Won loads of Trophies.

It's one helluva record to try and equal never mind eclipse. But I get what you are saying.

We are a point and 16 goals better off than the 16/17 invincibles at this stage of the season. What a job Ange has done

 

Best SINCE Stein, I'd say probably... As good AS Stein? Not without a European trophy... Not knocking Big Ange, but Stein set a whopper of a high bar for everyone/anyone following him...

In my opinion, Ange could get there with Stein if he continued the progress and we got the Europa

 

We have to go on a run in Europe for him to overtake Martin O'Neill, for me..

Premature calling him the best since Stein until then.

 

He'll never get up there with Stein.

He said he's the best SINCE Stein if he continues this way... And that's a huge accomplishment, if he manages that, which I obviously hope for.

Yeah... But!!!

I mean, do you think the Huns last year were as good as our Europa final team? We need to be fluid to the circumstances of our times... O'Neill had HUGE funds at his disposal and an era where we could still attract huge talent to Scotland. That's no longer true... Luck and fortune on a given night is a thing too...

Under the new format we may not even get our run at the Europa anymore, apparently... Can't blame Ange if we make CL group but never get outta it... We could still be progressing.

I'm not sure what we'd need to do for Ange to be next best, but I'd view it through the prism of the current corrupted UEFA situation

 

To be fair, I mentioned myself in a thread somewhere last week on here, tha the rate Ange is going he could end up the best manager since Stein too. That is on the condition he stays for the duration and continues on the successful path he is going. What I meant was I could see where he was coming from, given I felt that too. Anyways it's fucken semantics and not worth quibbling about. Semantics they drive me fucken mad
