Your problem is you have no ambition.

I reckon he'll need more than just one more crack at Europe to make waves for us. There there were some promising signs this season, but ultimately we fell short and I would say underachieved considering the group we had. We should have finished 3rd. I highly doubt we'll get an easier group in the CL again.

Last season was similar, we were unlucky not to qualify from our EL group. But to get papped out by a very average Bodo side was bitterly disappointing. All in all we've shown a lot of naivety in both of Ange's European campaigns.

I still think we need some major surgery on the current crop of players. For all of our our domestic consistency, the standard is absolutely woeful. That isn't to discredit his achievements, but it doesn't help us at all when facing vastly superior teams in Europe.

Our mistakes and missed chances go relatively unpunished in Scotland, whereas in Europe, more often than not, things like that * us over. Its the difference between winning and losing, qualifying and not qualifying, etc.

To think that it will all come good next time in a group that is likely to be far more difficult is highly optimistic. We all saw that European adventures should not be looked at as a thing of the past when the huns were a penalty away from winning the Europa League less than 12 months ago.

If Ange is true to his word and genuinely wants to try and bring European success to us, or even a good run for that matter, he shouldn't be leaving until we do. That is of course unless a genuine big side comes in for him, someone who can win trophies and compete in European competitions. It's gutting to watch us meekly accept defeat over and over again in Europe. If we continue to back Ange I just hope he can do his best to put us on the map in Europe. Its where we belong.

I think Ange is a man of his word and pretty much a straight talker. I don’t get any indication from him that’s he’s ready to walk out on us. The board have backed him plenty. He has very much unfinished business here.
He has mentioned that if he doesn’t convince players to stay at Celtic as they should see the club for what it is. It would be complete and utter hypocrisy should he go where he thinks the grass is greener. And I don’t think he’s that type.
    No worries, mate.

Trying to poach Sean Dyche, who is just a couple of weeks in the door, probably on big money and openly said he was wanting an EPL gig a while back isn't ambition though.. it's wild fantasy.

Anyway it's not something we need to worry about this season as Ange will be here for his 2nd title in a row.

    all are good

Two more seasons minimum . Ange is a person who will give Celtic good value and values being chosen for the Celtic job.
Beats managing AEK Athens, even though they have a brand new 40,000 seat stadium and are a legend club in Greece, he would have been a big fish in a small and murkey Greek pond, the way things are with Greek football at present.

The Sunderland job went to Chris Coleman and nothing happened there. A club with a famous past needing a resurrection, with a big stadium to boot. Ange would have done well there and would have had the whole city behind him. He probably would have taken them into the EPL but with no real prospects of CL football. He would have moved on.

Celtic for Ange was a dream appointment for him and he knows it. All he would have wanted from managing a club he has at present. The stars and planets have aligned for him.

Better results in the CL year by year will see him continue to develop and refine his squad to the point that no Scottish club will get close to challenging Celtic for titles each season. He will have a European team/squad playing domestic SPL football. That will be like racing a thoroughbred against a draft horse.

Ange is staying because it makes sense.

If he was to move it would be to a club that can offer him CL football each season. Not necessarily in the EPL.

Belgium, Holland, and Germany come to mind.

He's happy just being on a rolling contract supposedly. Not much we can do about it.

Bullish Celtic top brass remain confident Ange Postecoglou will not leave them in the lurch for Leeds United despite mounting speculation that the Aussie’s name has made it onto an Elland Road shortlist.

Postecoglou has been linked with a possible move to the Premier League strugglers ever since the trigger was pulled on American Jesse Marsch in the aftermath of Sunday’s defeat at Nottingham Forest. And the interest appears to have intensified over the last 24 hours. Reports from Yorkshire named Postecoglou as one of three bosses, currently in employment elsewhere, who are under serious consideration for the post, and West Brom's Carlos Corberan was another. But news that he has signed a new deal at West Brom appear to have put that to bed.

Sources at the club insist the interview process got up and running after Marsch’s sacking on Monday, with further discussions held on Tuesday. But Record Sport understands that, as of late Tuesday afternoon, Celtic had received no contact from the Leeds board asking for permission to open talks with Postecoglou.

Furthermore, chief executive Michael Nicholson and chairman Peter Lawwell believe the 57-year-old is happy, motivated and completely committed to leading his side towards a second successive Premiership title, despite any potential interest from across the border. Leeds have cobbled together a three man coaching team to take interim charge for Wednesday night’s clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford in the first of a double header against Erik Ten Hag’s side.

And they hope to have a new man nailed down in time for Sunday’s rematch at Elland Road. Stand-in coach Michael Skubala said: “This is a temporary situation. I’m happy to support the club and look after the club at this moment in time while they work really hard to find a new head coach. I’ll go back to my old role when this is done. I’ll just do the best job I can do.”

It's debatable where Ange rates on the great managers list just yet, I would categorically state he is one of the most intelligent managers we have had though, without a seconds thought and I don't think he would consider a move to Leeds as a logical choice.

He will leave eventually but it won't be to Leeds at this junction. I'd wager a major organ on that.
