You seem completely convinced it will not prove a good appointment, I'm just not so convinced. He isn't Deila, he seems a much stronger character than Deila on first impressions.

:56: its too nice of a day for a :boxing:spent enough time yesterday ranting in here, I'm off out to enjoy the sun.

I agree with your other post, another time Ange would be a worthwhile gamble maybe, right now this is a massive gamble and one we can't afford. It bangs of panic appointment and cheap option after an absolute shitfest of a season..

Anyway Im out for now, looks like this is going to be done so strap in, this will be eventful if nothing else...

If you can't see what's impressive about those stats you need to give your head a wobble

Yes that's exactly why we're bringing him in. Just because of that friendly.

I’d say there’s a less than 1% chance that anyone on the board knew of Ange Postecoglu without him being brought to their attention by another party

I’m totally convinced it will not be a good appointment. I would love nothing more than to be wrong if he does get the job, but, I said the same about Lennon as well. It was clear as day he wasn’t the man for the job, but plenty on here tried to convince themselves otherwise.

Why cause one game in pre season with a team half way through theirs against a team in pre season they had shots and possession but still lost 3-1

That’s not what I said, as you already know. Some on here think it has some significance though, which it clearly doesn’t. It was a friendly that had no importance.

Enzo Maresca had never managed a first team in his life but many were okay with the idea of him and Harkin. Ange's CV blows Maresca's out of the water that's for * sure.

The fact that supporters are genuinely asking this question is testament to how much this Celtic board have normalised mediocrity and quelled any sort of ambition.

There are tons of managers out of work that the board should at the very least be looking at. Leonardo Jardim, Peter Bosz, Valverde, Oscar Garcia you could even make a case for after League wins with Salzburg and Tel Aviv.

They had more possession and a higher pass completion % against 11 of the best players on the planet. Didn't think you needed it spelt out for you but low and behold.
