GVB also got cocky after doing extremely well last year. Overconfidence can kill any team.

Good defense is not about * our pants, but about being prepared. Taking a * before the game, and going in there ready.:84:

I can see Marinakis bringing GG to Nottingham Forest in the next transfer window. The shipping owner is desperate to stay in the EPL and has the money to do this. I do not see his manager staying much longer either.

Get Freuler in as part of the payment then. He's thirty but neither McCarthy or Mooy comes close.

Dont really think they did, just got pumped by better teams. They were decent first half at home vs liverpool and blown away in second half.

Kent has been useless for them and Morelos hasnt kicked a ball. Their midfield needs investment and their centre backs are not good.

They also haven't been as fit and struggling with signings since their Dr went to Leicester. Leicester's form conveniently has got better

They kept score down by McGreagor in the goal.

If he'd not played a cracker they'd have been hoofed 8 -0 at least. The bloke is a c#nt but he saved them from a proper drubbing in that first leg.

As soon as Beale left their team went to *, same as when he left to take a management job when he was at Villa, the common denominator for that is he was the brains behind both outfits, slippy was the front face, offered nothing but a name.

No chance will we sell Giakoumakis in January. Then next summer, there is a good chance Forest will be a championship team again.

Rogic has missed the Oz squad for the World Cup. If he had stayed at Celtic, my guess is he would have been included.
Can't help but feel the arrival of O'Riley was the reason Rogic left.

Can not see the logic of not including Langerak as one of the keepers. He has been in great form year after year in Japan, whereas Ryan has been warming the bench at club level for over two years now. Vucovic was not given his chance earlier and is too old now for the WC. Redmayne as one of the three keepers is ok.

Ryan over the years has developed an entitlement syndrome, and the media have been pumping up his tyres for far too long. Langerak is the better keeper in my view, and has been betrayed by coach Arnold who feared Ryan would go the massive dummy spit if he was not selected.

Ryan has had his day under Ange in the Brazil WC and the run up games prior to the Russia WC. Ryan is not up to a third WC and it will not be a happy result for the Socceroos. Ryan should not be in the squad.

Disgraceful decision by Arnold and shows a lack of guts to make the right call. Given that the WC starts Nov 20 all teams have limited time to get together in camp and prepare for their matches. Langerak not included, may be to not rock the boat of squad harmony in the lead up to the first game.

Poor treatment of Langerak by Arnold, especially as he was the one who coaxed him to come out of international retirement to be in this WC squad.

THE bulk of Celtic's January transfer work has been done, according to Ange Postecoglou.

The Hoops are looking strong to retain their Premiership crown this season as they sit seven-points ahead of Rangers in the table.

A big part of their success has been Postecoglou's eye for a player, with very few signings under his watch not making an impact on the first team.

Fans will be excited to see what gems he manages to unearth in the upcoming winter window.

The Australian has revealed that nearly all of the planning work for that has been concluded.

He told the media: "A couple of weeks ago, we sort of did our (transfer) planning. The bulk of the work's been done.

"What this time gives me is a little bit of opportunity just to plan for the rest of this year and probably the next summer window."

Celtic face Motherwell and Ross County before the mid-season World Cup break over the next five-weeks.

And Postecoglou wants to see his side earn some much-needed time off with two victories.

He added: "We need to get through the next two games nice and strong.

"We've had a really solid block of games. Champions League results aside our performances have been really strong through that and our league form's been excellent.

"My gut tells me it's probably a good time for the break because we've had just so much football in a short space of time. As much as the players have got through this period, there's always a tipping point - not just physically but mentally."

    Love his planning.

Imagine coming out and saying all the prep for next transfer window is done (one already on the way in) and now planning for next season.

Never happened till this man came along and long may it continue

Bakasetas of Trabzonspor would be a perfect attacking midfielder for Celtic to pick up in the next transfer window.

Big, strong, a leader and with a powerful shot in either foot and a regular goal scorer from outside the box. The Greek captain is a proven winner.

However his age may be a hindrance at 29, but if you are good enough, age is irrelevent. A good player to have also for a CL campaign. Would not cost a bomb either.

Ange Postecoglou will NOT be allowing any of his Celtic players to join up with Scotland for the Turkey friendly.

Steve Clarke's men take on the Turks next Wednesday, November 16, after the Premiership wraps up for the World Cup break on Saturday. But the Hoops travel to Australia next week to take part in the Sydney Super Cup alongside Everton and Sydney FC during the mid-season break.

And the manager has talked up the importance of that as preparation for the rest of the season. And that's why he won't be releasing any international players for a friendly. He will obviously be without players who are playing in Qatar, but the likes of Tony Ralston, Greg Taylor and David Turnbull won't be facing Turkey. Callum McGregor is injured anyway.

Clarke is due to announce his squad today.

Postecoglou said: "From our perspective, the Australian trip is an important part of our football club and we want to take our strongest possible team there.

“We will always be supportive of the national team and Steve Clarke has always been great with us in terms of his relationship with the club. But all of our players who won’t be going to the World Cup will be coming with us.

Obviously, we can’t take the players who are going to the World Cup, but we have obligations there to the people who have spent the money that we go there with the strongest possible team and that’s what we’ll be doing.”

Another two players who will be in Australia are Kyogo and Reo Hatate after they were snubbed for Japan's World Cup squad.
