Think he’s more like the dinosaur they slide down through the window at the start of the theme song?

You know something, that didn’t enter my head until now, and that would be a seriously tempting offer I think.

I think they’ve already got Pochettino set up for it though.

They are wanting an elite manager and preparing to pay millions apparently. I'm not sure they will be looking at Scotland again after Gerrard flopping

That’s a good point there as well. I think they’ve spent the third most net transfers over the last 3/4 years, I genuinely think they’ve already got Poch lined up for it though. Been a persistent rumour over the last couple of weeks, and they could back what he wants with money, with no interference to deal with from above that he’s dealt with for the last jobs he’s had and that would be ideal for him I think.

This is good to remember, in light of people suggesting Ange isn't flexible.

As Australia manager, he played against teams that were much better at holding the ball (esp. Japan, Korea). As a result, his football was entirely different to what you see at Celtic.

His philosophy is absolutely not flexible, and that’s the bedrock that he builds on, that doesn’t mean he’s tactically inflexible though.

And he’s shown that a lot for us already, philosophy is always the same, but tactics are tweaked constantly. Look at Hibs on the weekend and Motherwell, different players meant different style and different tactics but the same overall philosophy of what he wants.

The more options he gets in the squad, the more he shows that, when he had barely any guys last year until January that label stuck. Because he didn’t trust them to mix it up clearly.

I think you're right, at least I hope so, but there's a world of difference between Ange and Gerrard. Ange is a professional manager with a long rap sheet of consistent success. Has already done vastly better than Gerrard in Scotland in less than half the time and is noted for having a strong philosophy and uniting a team, a club and an army of adoring fans behind his vision and style.

Gerrard is just a dilettante ex player having a go at managing. Done * all and was soon found out.

Ange has been preparing for the very top all his professional life and will one day walk into a club like Villa (or Liverpool) and be just as successful as he ever was.

Long into the future may that day be.
