Ferguson's fallen into the same trap that opponents did from way back in Ange's days coaching in Aus: it's one thing to say that his teams only have one way of playing, but it's another thing completely to stop it when he's constantly refining and improving our style of play. Gio said post match that they'd worked on dealing with our quick throw-ins and free kicks, but that didn't mean they could deal with it.

The thing that struck me today, apart from some of the scintillating attacking play, was that we were way more comfortable dealing with various phases of the game than we were last season. Playing out from the back, defending our lead, set pieces. We just generally looked more composed. We're starting to see Angeball mk.2 here, where everything goes up a level. Let's see how that translates in the Champions League, which obviously will be a completely different test.

You'd be right, he's the only one. Levels above everyone else imo, just like Celtic in the SPL

 

Lads I love him, seems to realise how special we are too. I don't think he's one to leave for a smaller club in a better league ie a Leciester, villa etc, definitely need to offer him a new contract though.

 

Think it would take something like Liverpool to tempt him away

 

He's special, was fate that brought him here, he was made to manage Celtic.

 

The man was made to manage this football club. He will be here for years.

 

Give ange a billion pounds to stay at Celtic for the rest of his life.

 

I don't think there's any question that Ange would have been offered a longer contract. For a number of reasons: his success last season, his recruitment, the Australia tour, the way he's connected the club, players and fans and just generally brought back the "feel good" factor. But the fact that nothing was announced leads me to believe that there's some kind of gentleman's agreement in place that he'll be here for as long as things are going well and both sides are happy.

For the most part, Ange has been like this at his previous clubs. He doesn't seem to worry about this stuff and moves on eventually once he thinks he's achieved all he thinks he can achieve. Here, that'll be trying to make some kind of impact in Europe. He's stated repeatedly in press conferences that he says the same thing to the players: don't worry about your future, because if you focus on being the best you can be right now, all those things (contracts, transfers) will take care of themselves.

Hopefully I don't regret saying it, but Ange isn't a Rodgers or a Gerrard. Unless something stupid happens, like a Man City, Liverpool or Barcelona coming in for him (which obviously isn't going to happen) he's not going anywhere for awhile.

 

Hopefully he's herr for a while, I have a sneaking suspicion that, there's an agreement in place that if he's successful here, then he gets Peps Job when it eventually comes up.

I'm trying to enjoy him while it lasts, we have a very special manager running things at the moment.

 

Lifetime contract. Genuinely. This man was made for our football club, in every single way. I've never felt as connected to the squad as I do right now, to the players, the style of play, the whole culture. This is a beautiful time to be a Celtic fan and everything comes down to him.

 

Can you imagine the team this man could build if he had the budget the big teams in the Epl have

 

So lucky to have him we just need to enjoy him while he’s here.
