This would be an outstanding signing. I remember him from when we played Shakthar a few seasons back-2004. Reminded me of Pavel Nedved, both in looks and ability and absolutely ran the show when they horsed us. He got sent off in the return leg at Celtic Park (if memory serves me well), but before he did he looked an excellent player.

Just can't see us spending £3M big ones on any one player though.
I thought GS could only get players who where Avaliable on free-Transfers but I suppose the sell of Petrov would help us.

Could you imagine the Midfield if we do get Tymoshchuk-Nakamura,Jarosik,McGeady,Maloney,Sno,Riordan,Lenny,Lawson, there is a few quaility players in there and a few can play in other positions so just as long as Strachan gets his man I'm sure he would help the bhoys do far in the CL this season and his expeiance in the CL will help as well, exciting times ahead if Celtic can pull of these signings:ynwacelti:ynwacelti As for the SPL it should just be a walk in the park for him but he will need to remember you don't get a long time on the ball in Scotland

    according to an internet translator

Jan Vennegoor or Hesselink seem have wanted considerably, the telegraph communicates. After FC Porto seem the Tukker have struck the fight, the Scottish cell tic in the market for the person whose birthday it isperson whose birthday it is person whose birthday it is is pointed.
According to the morning newspaper the club from Glasgow can satisfy moreover to the vraagprijs of PSV. Those include a ticket of eight millions euro, what too gortig appeared for the armlastige Porto. The club tried still with sale of some players lard the transferfonds, but an investment of eight millions for Vennegoor finds the club control too much of good. For this reason cell tic has at present best papers. The Scottish club wants head moreover rapidly with nails to beat and goes possibly today already with PSV for table. Vennegoor or Hesselink have already indicated a overstap to cell tic, however, sitting to see

why not its about time we spent some money .. there also gonna get a lot of money back from Champs league and there comes a day when u have to spend if you want success ... we need strengthening for sure .. its not like the money is not there ... its always there its just getting the tic/board to part with it... even 5m or so for VOH and say 3m+ for Tymoschuck thats only 8m+ ... and the sale of Petrov ... thats nothing to pay really in modern day football... the board obviously know Strachans intentions and what he wants and what needs strengthening and he has more than likely proposed these players to the board... the manager can only do so much the board must fund his ambitions.

I hope we get him.. our midfield would be so strong with Jarosik and Tymoshuk in the centre.

Im not getting too excited by this. IF we do get the player i'll be delighted coz hes outstanding. I remember being over the moon when he got sent off against us in the CL because he scared me.

But what are the odds of us paying the money hes available for? I'll believe it when i see it.

Dont read too much into this article. I scanned for speech marks and the only ones i found were the ones from Hasselinks da and Timocheck and others regarding nothing to do with these claims. The guy who wrote this artice is simply making assumptions.

    Wheres this money coming from?

I like the rest of you really want these transfers to happen. But, is it just me or was it not that long ago wee Gordon was saying that he may need to bring back big Dion because we have no money for anyone else? Where are meant to be gettin the money for these two? Because one things for sure they wont be cheap.

Don't completely agree with the way you're playing that midfield. If we were to play 5 and play Nakamura, McGeady and Maloney we should be playing Nakamura in the middle, where he is at his best and McGeady out on the wing. Change it to that then I'd agree with you. Would be a great signing if it came off.

He meant Lennon wouldn't make the bench by the way, not Tymoshchuk.

Exactly, I've learned over the years to never believe any signing news until you actually see them in a Celtic top. Until that point, it's probably just a rumour lol!

im the same , when they are on the back page of the papers with a celtic top on .. thats when it sinks in... like with jarosik i didnt believe we signed him untill i actually saw the press conference and was over the moon .... but untill then we wait and see .. im liking the players we are linked with tho ,, be far more optimistic if we pull a couple of major signings like this out the bag.
