Don't get me wrong I want watt to start a lot more or at least be involved I'm just thinking if your looking at it from baldes point of view on the bench not getting a look in,knowing we're desperate for a couple of strikers...

I have my doubts that he's ready and watt in my opinion is ready to go this year but balde still gets my backing if and when he gets the nod

Felt sorry for Big Bobo today, knowing he's a young guy and living here unable to speak the language. He probably went home gutted today.

He came out to warm up around 75 minutes, ran up and down stretching and that for 3/4 minutes then put his shin pads on - obviously thinking surely im going to get on probably imaganing going on to score the winner. Ran about again, stopped looked towards bench, ran about again, stopped looked at bench etc 4/5 times. Didnt get on.

Aye, gutted for him too. I'm really hoping this boy settles in and gets a fair crack of the whip. From the very little I've seen of him, I do believe there's potential there. Need to bring it out of him, which I have faith in Neil and the guys to do.

I reckon he would have got a run out today had we been 3 up and comfortable. His time will come though. :50:

Doesn't matter if "Watt came on to keep the shape." that's no reason for not trying Balde.

Balde should have been stuck on with 10 minutes to go.

Seeing as Lennon/Celtic had enough faith to wack out £1.7m for him, then surely to * he has enough faith to play the guy at Celtic Park in the SPL. Even just for 10 minutes when we were needing a goal?

I find it all really strange.

Bangura is an OK player. He did OK agaisnt us.

Confidence was obviously his issue here. I'm sure Lennon will want to give Balde time to settle before hurling him into the team like he did with Bangura.

And yet Lenny was proved right by not throwing him on seeing as we got the winner...

Also, Watt came on in the first half, not with ten minutes to go.

There was a time on this forum when some people used to question whether or not Lennon had faith in Stokes...

It appears that he has much more faith in Stokes now than he ever has before though, now that Hooper has left. Keeping him on for the full 90 minutes today when we were pushing for a winner, rather than bringing Balde on and seeing what he could do.

With Stokes as first choice striker and Lenny apparently wanting 2 new strikers in you've got to wonder when Balde is going to get given an opportunity, especially if we bring in a CL quality striker.

    Exactly.

He look's like getting next to no chance as it is just now. He'll become 5th choice striker should we get another 2 in.

    Doesn't look good at all.

Felt sorry for Balde too today, to be honest I was screaming for him to come from when he came out to warm up but... Fair play to Lenny we got the goal and I suppose we have to trust him in terms of tactics.

Noticed danny mcgrain had Balde out with him the whole half time think he is very much a work in progress that we are protecting.

Bangura, Brozek, lassad miku etc... All were signed and not really given a fair crack of the whip. Can see history repeat itself here....

I think this lad does have good potential for us. I mean all the games he has played in so far have been crappy pre-season friendlies, and most of those games the service the big man got was next to nothing. All he needs is a wee confidence boost and to open his account domestically. Should this happen I can see him cracking on, and turn out to be a key player for us.

But for that to happen he needs game time and chances. I'm pretty sure Lennon knows what he's doing, but I can't help but think he doesn't have faith in him, and Balde could turn out another dud. I'm really hoping this doesn't happen.

Also if he managed to score 9 goals in the Portuguese league last year, he MUST be able to score at least that amount in the SPL this season surely??????

Out of them all, Lassad performed the best.

I kinda wish we had kept him here, to be honest. That goal against Hearts at Tynecastle, the swinging delivery coming in from the left that he hammered first time on the volley, was class. I thought he was a good squad player.

I think Lassad was a good player, but he's probably wanting first team football and we can't promise that, He was kind of frozen out after Stokes came back from injury.

His goal at Celtic Park vs Hearts was terrific aswell :50:
