If Hooper, Commons and Watt were new signings you'd probably be saying the same thing about them as they've hardly set the world on fire in our two meaningless fitness exercises so far either. Give the guy a chance to at least impress in a competitive fixture.

I'll be honest, I think anybody who judges a guy on not only 2 matches, but 2 "Pre-Season Friendly Matches" really should be slapped back into reality.

 

What's this with the whole meaningless friendlies pish? I don't meen the game because I agree with that but don't you think the guy and the rest will show there desire in pre season to secure a spot for our up and coming important games? You telling me because its a training game blade isn't really trying?

From what I've seen hes running into areas where commons etc has to play the ball wide... I don't know if its been asked of him but it really does my wad in why our strikers do this!

I do t think the guy is going to cut it either its just one of those players you get the vibe he will be another bangura!

 

So what about the people who would rant and rave at a player if he was banging in a few goals you would be saying he looks a player! So everybody has the right to look at these 2 games and think he's not really done much

It was a weakened side we put out, nevertheless a class player would show something in a game like this. Players looked bad because the midfield was terrible which meant he got no service. In saying that i could list 20 players who could have come in and been way more effective than Balde. We really need to hope with a stronger midfield, he gets more chances, but to me he looks like a defender playing up front.

 

Hope we kept the reciept..

 

Obviously it would be ludicrous to right him off after two meaningless friendlies, but I do have a bad feeling about Amido. Not that we wouldn't progress either way, but the Cliftonville game is only in 10 days time and if he doesn't impress against a team of such low calibre than it wouldn't bode well for the future. Hope I'm wrong.

 

What a joke some of you lot are.

 

Some people on here take pre season to seriously. These games are training exercises. You can't judge a player in these games.

Quite funny that - considering the manager will be assessing players during pre-season

 

Aye he will be assessing not drawing conclusions and writing them off before a competitive game has been played. Read what some people have been posting.

I think - after watching two games - Balde will be a player that frustrates me intensely. Is that me "writing him off" as well then, captain?
