Amido Balde

This is undoubtedly an amazing goal, however it highlights the problem. He can score goals but it is pretty obvious to all the he isn't a technical/intelligent footballer.

His close control and passing just isn't up to it for a team who is going to be dominating games. He will work best for a team where he can break away and score on the counter.

 

You could have a point there to be fair. That thought has crossed my mind in the past too.

At least you're providing a reason for why you don't think he'll make it here rather than just saying he's *.

 

I see on his twitter account (I'm presuming it's his real account bout 4,000 followers)

He's the very definition of 'raw'. I'd give him a chance. Could be our Zlatan!

 

I still think he could be useful as a target man. Sometimes when we're playing * SPFL teams like Killie, and we're failing miserably at trying to break them down, we could do with a big * in the box.

Can't help but think that this will be his career highlight though and he will be remembered solely for that strike.

Excellent news. I didn't actually think he was that bad, but moving on these sorts of fringe players is exactly what we should be doing right now. There are so many players who have no future at Celtic that are still on the wage bill.

 

Hopefully a permanent deal, could we be so lucky ?
