Was unable to watch the game direct so recorded it and finished watching it 20 mins ago. Glad we got through to the next round but very unhappy about the injuries, which I suspected earlier we would suffer.

The refereeing was atrocious. What is the agenda here ? The defending team is the underdog in such a match so we appease the home crowd and do not punish bad fouls on visiting players ? First tackle on Niang by our sub and he gets booked !

Niang's crippling fouls on Abada and Gushi forced both players off the pitch. Niang should have got a yellow for the first one and a definite red for the second. In the 69th minute Rogic was chopped down near the touch line with the offender not even attempting to go for the ball which was no where near him. Calmac looks like he has a fractured cheek bone or a busted jaw at worst.

What do the Alloa players do over a pint after the game ? Share stories with a smile of the damage they did to the Celtic players, like it is some industrial League game on a Sunday morning on the back-blocks, played on a paddock ?

Giakoumakis took his goal well and Scales shows he can cross a beautiful ball to GG on more than one occasion. Giakoumakis needs to stop holding his head each time things do not go right for him. It looks pathetic. Maeda for me is a better choice at CF than GG, but the big lad needs more game time to improve his touch. He also needs be more aware of his fellow players around him and pass the ball to Maeda if the guy is in a better position to score.

It is clear that we need a 2-3 goal space against the teams we play. Conceding goals in the second half is now the norm with us, and needs to stop !

Hart is a good keeper but he has a weak spot in his game that needs to be addressed and he knows it. He was shaky with his ground game immediately after we conceded the goal. It plays on his mind. I am guessing he has had bad injuries in the past due to coming off his line to intercept a high ball from the wing, and people have charged into him as he goes for the ball.
To my mind he could have punched out that cross or caught it . We have conceded many goals this season already in similar scenarios.

All the lads over 55 here need to have a general blood test every year and that includes the PSA blood test, which is very important to ensure you have a healthy life going forward.

That will get another negative response. Its clear the SFF do not give a toss.

Complaint must go directly to UEFA/FIFA - they must have people who look into preserving refereeing standards if the national federation of a country is not upholding refereeing standards.

Ralston also gave him a right slagging after his assault on Abada's foot.

There is no passion or urgency in the way Giakoumakis plays.

He should have scored with his head from that Scales cross. No power, no passion.

We need a Nobby Stiles taking no prisoners and a Denis Law giving back crunching slide tackles into legs. We need to get some respect back on that pitch.

    * Alloa and * the hun ref.

Nobody is going to remember that we beat those cloggers by one goal, nor will they remember their names but everyone will remember when we win the cup.

Same ol’ Alloa, never win a thing.

Sadly nobbys dead mate, but Denis at 81 might only be any good for 20 minutes at most I reckon.

That applies to all the ladies on this thread as well, but excluding the PSA blood test.

Definitely would love a big no holds barred Roy Aitken type in or team or even a wee Bertie style type who would ensure the opposition players knew the score but with a bit more cunning.

I don't usually watch it due to the bias and * pundits on it but wanted to see their views on the treatment dished out to our players yesterday. Honestly, how the * he came away with that * unchallenged I'll never know and I was surprised Peter Grant didn't challenge the * a bit more on it though

I'd rather there were no dodgy tackles rather than our players doing to others as retaliation
