To win 3 in a row you could argue his decisions have been mostly right, I do agree some of his decisions totally puzzle me (such as starting Maloney today)

I hate his post match interviews but they don't have any impact on whether he can do his job successfully.

I agree it isn't all Strachans fault. To blame it all on him would be totally unfair, but as a manager, you need to take a large chunk of the blame.
The board really should have strengthened in January but they obviously didn't feel the need to and now it's gonna come back to haunt us.

No doubts about it imo they are absolutely brutal. We are definitely the better team but just don't have the consistency. Although tbh, we are not a good team, just we're better than them (Not saying that I accept this)

And you could also argue that any manager with a decent amount of knowledge could do the same, against an Alex McLeish side who even Hearts finished above, Paul Le Guen speaks for its self, and we were favoured by Rangers european run last season, and their total lack of winning away to a top 6 team.

When was the last time he put on a sub who changed the game? Like a Macheda or something? His choice of substitutes and timing of them are bizarre to say the least.

Gaz, the point was directed at the person who said most of his decisions have been wrong when clearly that's not the case (irrespective of whether any half decent manager would have got the same results)

I agree that many of Strachans decisions are puzzling to say the least - I just don't think all of the criticism should be laid at his door (yes, ultimately the manager takes the blame but the players and board also have to share the blame for these disappointments)

our opinion of his loyalty differs, i respect that. we'll never know though.

i agree that he did give it everything. i absolutely loved the guy. brilliant defender in my opinion. we both agree on that i'd say.

i also agree that i feel we treated him poorly. anyone that MON brought in got treated badly i think. well bar BBJ. the treatment of sutton and thompson really got to me. these guys were fantastic servants to the club, they deserved better.

Aye very bizarre. Chasing an equaliser in the most important game of the season and he brings on Lee Naylor :31:

Can't just start a Strachan hate thread again. He's won us 3 leagues on the trot. Id admit, he can * me off at times aswell, playing Caldwell in midfield has never sat well with me. I honestly think that he hasnt been backed with the cash in the transfer windows. We've not strenthend since last January. In the summer, we signed Samaras, lets face it, we would have rather we didnt. We signed Maloney, a player that left a season earlier. Signed Loovens, Only just started to get a game but he is better than McManus. Crosas, looks a good buy and a great bargain. Flood, good player but wont see the best of him until next season.

there could be others but I cant think of them at the moment!!

I know mate - just what the * was that about? Get Mizuno, Robson, McCourt on or something, not Naylor!! That sums Strachan up for me.

I used to stick up for Strachan every single time he was criticised due to blind faith. But not now, I've lost all patience with him and tbh, regardless of who wins the title, I'd like to see him leave.

Same mate, we've only won 2 away games in 2009 and for Celtic that's a complete disgrace, that's why we won't win the league in all honesty - Rangers are winning their away games, a good manager would have us 8 points clear I reckon, taking the quality of both sides into account, but instead, they lead and will probably go on to win the championship. :47:

hmmmmmm the point isnt getting across at all here is it.

he is working with what he has because he bought them!!! its all his * signings!! 32 million pounds worth of his signing!

if you owned celtic fc would you honestly let strachan loose with your money?? he would buy all the pish the spl has to offer or rangers rejects. remember hes the same guy that brought us kenny miller, steven pressley, mark brown back that up! fud

id be as well arguing with my dug, id get more sense.

at the end of the day theres 2 points in it, if strachan comes out with the pish he came out with today we will never claw this back, i personally think rangers will drop points. hats off to strachan if he does pull it off, but, at the end of the day i cant go through another season like this. time to go strach and co.

the naylor sustitution was baffling, should have kep big Jan on and brought Sammie on tae, we had all the possesion but the midfield never created * all really. Celtic have been missing some spark of late.

That Ref had a stinker tae, think he was making up for something, *:38:

    You sure about that?

Gravesen - 2.5 million (And even more millions on wages)
Jarosik - 2.5 million (Contributed very very little)
Zurawski - 2.5m - Good for a season, not really worth it
    Donati - 3m - Been awful
Hesselink - 3.5m - Not really been worth the price tag in terms of goals in big games (1 against Rangers, 2 in the Champions League) in 3 seasons, injured constantly aswell.

That's nearly 15 million wasted on those 5 players alone. And theres more.
