We were also regular in the CL with MON, only difference was WGS got the luck that deserted Martin. He done 3IAR, aye, but the question has to be asked - could an average run of the mill coach achieve the same with the squad and the circumstances (Paul Le Guen, Rangers European run etc)? Say someone like Gary Megson or even a Jimmy Calderwood, would they fail in doing what Strachan has done? I really don't think so.

Fickle * ? Don't think so, I'm just sick and fed up of the pish that we have to watch week in week out. It * hurts me to see us losing to this mob.

When we lose to an inferior Rangers side who have just overtaken us despite us being miles clear a few months ago - I think you can expect the manager to be slated! And rightfully so.

if they were so desperate to get him out why didnt they let him leave without the confidentiality clause they have now payed him 3 years wages to keep him quiet and now at end of season he can say what he wants.when he does tell his story i for one doubt it will have been worth paying him £5mil in wages without playing him to keep him quiet for 3 years

Well if you're happy to accept mediocrity, then fair enough. I however, am not.

There are plenty of people out there that could do a better job but that would be down to the Celtic board to find them. As a club we have a great reputation and im sure we wouldnt be short on candidates.

I don't think it's all WGS' fault, the board have to take some of the blame. They have spent the absolute bare minimum they felt was necessary to just keep ahead of der Hun. They may be slightly out on their guesswork, hopefully not. The players have to look at themselves for far too many lacklustre performances.

However we were playing a team today with a 39 year old at CB and Christian Dailly at RB and we decided our best policy was to lump it up to our big CF as a means to breach them, when the last time we played them we played to our strengths and utilised our more skilled players to play through them. Not clever.

I wasn't happy with Strachan's appointment to start with, but he slowly won me round, however, this season there has been no improvement (which is what we look for year on year) so I think he has taken us as far as he can.

Then the question becomes who do we get in and will the board support the new manager?

Some of the positives in GS reign at Parkhead would be 3 in a row, CL last 16 (lucky or not it's something we had never managed before), the age of the squad has been reduced, the wage bill has been reduced.

Some of the negatives in GS reign at Parkhead would be the poor standard of football (largely down to the poor standard of players/lack of finance), the inconsistancy in the team (especially this year), the failure to make changes when certain players are not performing.

Overall I think the time has come (at the end of the season, win or lose) for GS to walk away (did he not say one time 4 years at a club is long enough?). I'd wish him well, say thanks for the titles and look forward to a new man working his magic.

    ??? * all???

done on a budget of * all?? where did ye get that from??
how much was boruc? how much was naka? Keano was expensive to have on our books, graveson aswell?? zurawski?? jarosik? donati?? maloney?? these guys werent cheap and not to remember he got 6 million for petrov he had enough money there to do the job.

as people have said before, hes done what has been expected nothing more, any manager would have acheived the same.
if you cant see that his decisions are mostly wrong and sometimes absolutely puzzling when it comes to team selection well i can understand why your sticking up for him. your as daft as him.

and his comments in the media?? *! the media r there as a way to express feelings to the fans and to explain stuff about the game etc so why does he time and time again patronise everyone of us?

as for your 100% i dont think so mate do you not remember the clyde game?? explain where that fits in to yer 100%.

ill back the team with or without strachan, but in my opinion we would be better with a better manager than strachan.

Did i say i was happy with mediocrity? the fact is it isnt all Strachans fault that we have so many average players.. its the boards fault they are the ones not buying better players, Tbh too many people on here go on about how * Rangers are, how Celtic are miles better... blah blah blah, if they are so * why are they top of the league and why have they beaten us twice this season? they cant be that bad can they?!

At the end of the day we're decelerating and have been for 2 years now, 06/07 was our most successful season under WGS both in terms of trophys won and good standard of performance on the park, the squad has also been weakened somehow, last year was poor but this year has eclipsed it for the * this team has served up, it's been embarassing at times, if Rangers win the league it will be almost certain that Strachan will be out, one way or another.
