i'd take 8m, Ki is a player we can only expect to have an impact in our team in a 5 man midfield in europe or in home games coming on when we're 2 or 3 up, other than than he doesnt have the grunt to hack it in a 4 man midfield.

I hate the way some Celtic fans belittle Ki Sung-Yeung or at least his football abilities. However, it's painfully obvious that of all of our assets that we need to sell - We do need to sell 1 - then it's Ki Sung-Yeung. Whether it's in a 4-4-2, 3-5-2 or a 4-2-3-1 formation, he would not get in as a first choice and especially not if we hopefully sign Markus Henriksen or another quality player to play in the hole behind the striker. Definitely the most disposable and he can be proud of his 2 and a half years in Paradise. £7.5-10million please

 

if he leaves i doubt it will be for anything close to 10m. Thats the same amount mcgeady went for and ki doesn't even come close to being as important to our team. Imo we'd be lucky to get 5m and we should have accepted 6m from whatever russian mob offered it to us if those reports were true.

 

For the money mentioned we really should be biting their hand off.

Not yet we shouldn't. It's the start of the transfer window, and these clubs have big money, if they open the bidding at 6, we can definitely get more off them, especially if we can get rival bids in. Not dissimilar to McGeady, I reckon he'll go, but not till a lot nearer the end of the Window.

 

If the £6m was a legit bid and that was refused I can see us getting other bids in for Ki and with money like that it would be practically impossible to say no, especially if we are offered £8m+ for him.

We wouldn't need to replace him either as midfield is an area we have ample coverage for with what we have and what we have coming through the ranks from youth.

Would be a win win situation for us no matter what.

 

We don't need to sell anyone in the first 23 players list.

I think the sooner we get the cash in for him the better. Don't wanna be fannying around until towards the end of the window because that gives the board the excuse of not having enough time to plough the money in to the first team.

Perfect scenario, get a bidding war going we could well end up getting more money for him than we did McGeady!

 

I like ki but he's our best option as a saleable asset,the fee we could get for him could quite possibly pay for both henrikson(ki's replacement who imo is better suited for us) and Rhodes.

Hope it happens would be sad to see him go but it makes sense a no brainer

 

Hopefully someone wades in with agreat offer. we could live without Ki. sacraficing him for the good of getting in two good playes could be the real difference in getting to yhe CL groups.
