Don't understand why people are so mad about him leaving! We all know he's a quality player, but he's 5th choice because he doesn't fit into our system, and we all know it's in our and his best interest to leave! We get a good price and he will get more game time their as he'll suit the system at Swansea!

well considering all four can play in the middle, we'd bring on Commons, Forrest or Samaras.

still so many options. even McCourt!

we'd need three of those names in your post to be unavailable before i'd even contemplate offering Ki a chance to stay.

Oh sorry, I missed the part where he is the person negotiating the transfers/doing the deals...

    Lennon is not selling Ki.

Ki is Lennon's fifth choice. He will be delighted to get good money for a benchwarmer so he can bring in some new players.

if Lennon wanted Ki, he wouldn't be going out the door. he'd rather have the money.

99.9% of fans wouldn't blink an eye at sacrificing Ki for the good of the cause.

i get he is one of your favourite players, i rate him highly too, just don't take it to heart.

Played a * of a lot of games last season for a 5th choice. Why are you butthurt so bad about the Ki situation? Seem to wait till I post something, then pounce.

I would say your 99.9% slightly exaggerated

I would also ask you to look back at what I have posted, he is not my favorite player. Not even my top 3 at Celtic. My concern is what is best for the club. I do however think he has bags of talent. This is my problem. People forget his age vs his talent vs his current ability, we SHOULD NOT be selling someone with that potential as well as financially important to the club.

To both - Just incase any of you have missed the news recently, Lennon has stated this money will more than likely be going to servicing the clubs debt, not buying players. One things for sure it will be difficult to buy BETTER than Ki for what Lennon WILL get to spend.

People on here pick and chose which news articles to believe.

Because Broony and Kayal were out for half the season each. We both know that Brown, Ledley, Kayal and Wanyama are preferred to him.

    Me butthurt? I'm * delighted.

Circumstance does not back up fact.

Ki was out of puff over Christmas and into the new year, brain scans an all. It is just as good of an excuse as yours.

Ki statistically, is not our 5th choice mid. So unless Mr Lennon has told you personally, I will go with the COLD HARD FACTS.

You are delighted to lose Asian player of the year, with so many caps at his age, his talent and future potential as well as the money he brings to the club?

Aye ok then. Obvious troll is obvious.

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
The fact he had 15 months left on his contract and was possibly not in the mood for signing a new one judging by the fact he hadn't, makes this 5/6/ad-ons/whatever the * it is a complete no-brainer of a deal, I am afraid.

For a club in the financial situation we currently find ourselves in, we are in no position to turn these kind of sums down.

If he goes, then good luck to him, and thanks for the money bearing in mind come January no way would we be able to command that kind of fee for a player running down his contract.

If being delighted to sell Ki makes you a troll then I guess half of the Celtic support are trolls.

Again, we both know that Kayal, Brown, Ledley and Wanyama are preferred to him. By trying to deny that you lose all credibility. It's not even debatable.

considering only 3 people on here have voiced their disappointment of the move gives you an indication that it is a huge majority that are for selling Ki.

i'm not under any illusion, the bhoy can play. his potential is great. however, it is just potential. there is nothing to say he will or won't reach it. £6m+ for a 5th choice player who has 15months left on a contract where he won't be guaranteed games if he stays is a no-brainer.

you continue to spout Ki's marketability, it may be true, but there is no solid figures and i can't see us selling for so 'little' if he was making huge amounts in the East for us.

i said selling Ki for the good of the cause - if that is lowering our debt, then so be it. i'm of the opinion that Ki doesn't even need to be replaced as we have numbers in the middle of the park.

elsewhere on the field will need investment and when we have CL qualification, we'll see new faces.

it's a new chapter in Ki and our history.

I guess I just see things differently from you guys. We could go round and round, you are not going to agree with me, I am not going to agree with you.

In this situation, we have to just agree that the main benefactor of where ever Ki ends up is the club.

It is ending up a pointless waste of time. Lets just see what happens now, and in the future.

Is this official ? I Hope not. Love his style, very talented player. Would love him to stay here and develop. Swansea is not the club I was expecting him to go.

Just been on a Swans forum, no suggestion that this has moved any further forward. not even sure where he is at the moment, didn't come back to Scotland after the Olympics?

I'm sure if its going to happen, he will be spotted in or around their stadium soon enough.

Sad to see him go, but if he doesn't want to be here, we really can't moan at getting 5-6m for a player with 15 months left on his contract.

Someone mentioned yesterday that the seville team generated 8m in transfer fees, yet the porto team generated 100m+, we need to sell players on before they get a chance to leave on a free.

With our current injury record, keeping Ki as backup would be prudent. The club will definitely survive without the transfer money. We will receive a lot from entering CL. There's the TV righs money, too.

Ki was given extended leave and was interviewed in Singapore the other night. So I suggest he is still there? or maybe a beach close by? or something.

Yeah, that Porto team was full of highly talented Brazilians!
