    3 of those are real central midfielders. Mulgrew is required more in defense, McCourt is a good offensive option- I admit. But does Lennon fancy him?

    He's off, no point debating the use in keeping him.

    Our team will not change one jot with losing him and I, for one, am glad he wasn't on the bench tonight because he may have been the one to come on and it would have stopped Mulgrew moving into midfield and shoring things up.

    i rate Ki but the club and player have made it obvious that it's in both their interest if he moves on.

    even if the deal falls through, another club will come in. he will be departing this window.

    zilch left in midfield? what team do you follow? our biggest strength in depth is in midfield. losing Ki won't even dent it. i believe in two players for every one position. Brown, Ledley, Wanyama and Kayal have the two centre mid positions covered.

    having a player of Ki's quality as 5th choice for a position only highlights the strength in that area of the field.

    I'm getting a bit tired of this Ki creative pish. Why? Because despite his obvious talents, he was so often unwilling to impose himself in games and was a passenger so often, not much drive from midfield, just happy to pass the balls left and right.

    Bullshit, we've heard nothing from Ki. If he doesn't want to leave, he'll not. Yes, we've agreed a deal between the clubs, but that doesn't mean he's off ASAP.
