I'm not completely opposed to selling him, but if we let him go for only 6m I will be *. He's a bright, relatively young prospect, with invaluable marketing potential. 6m is THE FLOOR on a deal for him. If QPR wants him for their foray into the Asian market, we should take them to the cleaners.

The value of players is going to go down across the board over the next two years. The fair play rules will bring the value of superstars down, which will bring down the value of lesser players. Just get used to seeing lower numbers.

Btw, 6M for a player you bought for, reportedly, 2M--a guy that sits the bench and, while showing promise, has yet to crack your top XI--is a steal.

Tony Fernandes says QPR are still in talks with us to sign Ki.

Same here i'm really hoping he scores one of his 30 yarders or does a couple quality passes, we need to try and get as much for him as we can. QPR are * numpties they're like a smaller Liverpool, they'll just pay crazy fees for average and * players.

We could easily get 9 mill for Ki plus add ons, I think that's why it's taken so long.

We could have easily sold him for 3 mill at the start of the window and reinvested in a decent CB, but the club are holding out for big money which in the long run will help us much more. We just need to be patient even though it's a *.

kinda hope korea get knocked out so he can play next week. got plenty of strength and battlers to pick from in mid - wanyama, ledley, kayal and the boss's pet brown. ki will be great incorporated within a couple of them - hopefully wanyama and kayal. Ki was one of our best players in europa league last season, esp v udinese away! his game is more suited to these european matches.

you's would think the money we will get (if sold) will go into your own pocket. club would end of doing * all worthy with it/buy the wrong sort of player(s) anyway. much rather qualifying for the group with ki still in the squad then see with the extra income it brings what NL eventually does. which will be interesting!!

I love how people on here just assume we are due a large fee for a player that the majority at our club don't even rate.

Secondly, I love how no one has learned that our club does not exactly invest all the money we get asap.

Thirdly, I love how people assume a quality CB or Target man would come to the SPL.

The dislike for this young lad on this forum is terrible. People time and time again have proven by stats that he had a better season than the majority of our Mid. Yet he still gets slated.

    Let the people sing,
This sums the Ki situation up for me. Ki as a talent is probably only worth about 5-8m, but the potential earnings to be made from the Asian market with his addition to any team should bump his price up a good amount.

10m would be reasonable considering the fees some players go for sometimes.

I agree Ho! I really rate Ki, particularly in European competition, where his ability to find a pass is crucial. I would be very sorry to see him go, but I do think it is inevitable this year. I hope the board give Lenny sufficient funds from any transfers to re-invest.

Firstly - the fees aren't made up, he's a good player but he isn't first choice by any means.

Secondly - 100% bullshit. Look at the accounts.

Thirdly - Because we will have money, possibility of the Chanpions League and most importantly good scouting.

Lastly, you seem to support Ki more than the club.

Indeed......some people really need to start using their hankies to dry their eyes instead of.......well......you know :56::56::56::icon_mrgreen:

Decent player to have in the squad, but if an offer of £6m came in, then I for one would be happy to replace him with a pile of cash.

BBC Sport - "Fulham are set to gazump Queens Park Rangers in the £7m battle to sign Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng." Quote's from The Sun, so it's probably bullshit. Could (hopefully) be a bit of a bidding war for Ki if true though.

Messi, £25 million and a 45% sell on clause.

    That might sway him............

I'm hoping a longer run of Ki and Korea on the Olympics could actually show people that Ki is a good player and that he should not be sold.
