:97: Good to see we can be respectful and tolerant about things guys. To assume that I 'don't know anything about football' because I think that a 37 year-old midfielder has lost a bit of pace and vision is totally unreasonable. He's still decent for his age, but is definitely not at all the player he was.

Scholes came back and made a difference to utd. I don't think they would have took city to the last day of the season without him. He's still got it.

I'm not saying he doesn't do a job, but watching him this past season, I don't agree that he's still got what he had before.

decent for his age. he is brilliant for any age. goals from range, great passing. he has def lost pace, although he was never linford christie to begin with, but if anything his football brain has gotten better.

agreed. when your that good going at a snails pace, why do you need pace?

Xavi and Pirlo are other prime examples. only difference is that Scholes had more of a bite in the challenge.

Scholes can't tackle worth a * :56:. He mistimes just about every tackle. He's no bad apart from that I suppose :icon_mrgreen:

Ki would never ever get near the Man Utd team, Scholes could play to 50 and still do a better job.

Hold on, so I have something to 'learn' simply because I disagree with you? I think it's you who needs to learn tolerance man.

You've nothing to teach me anyway - I've seen Scholes often this past season. I maintain, he's not the player he was 5 years ago. That's my opinion. You haven't even brought up any stats from 5 years ago to back up your claim that he's still as good. Even if you had - it'd make no difference. I don't think he is - simple as that. You can try to badger me into agreeing with you all you like; won't work. You can try using unsavoury language about my opinion in an attempt to change it all you like; that won't work either.

I happen not to agree with you - not the end of the world; doesn't make me stupid or less informed than you either.

I'm not surprised, he's the perfect signing for the brand concious Man U, I wouldn't be surprised if they went for the other double dragon, Lee Chung-Yong (helps that he's settled as well). They signed Kagawa who not only is a decent player but will make them a ridiculous amount of money in Japan. Park is a great player but I think his body is breaking down and I think he knows it otherwise he wouldn't have quit the international team.

The only thing that I think would stop United from going for Ki would be the fact that he hasn't served military service and hasn't been granted a pardon unlike Park who received it due to participating in the Korean team in the 2002 World Cup.

fergie did try to sign ki before he signed for us when he was named Asian young player of the year, but FC seoul wouldnt sell, it was only after his contract was almost up that lawell came in and picked him up, He has the talent to be a world class player, I hope for us but if not then for another team

I think Ki is underrated, still developing and yet to show us his best. I'd like to see him stay, but if the only way we can bring in someone like Markus Henriksen or Rafal Wolski is to sell Ki for a lump sum, I'd say yeah, let's do it for the right price.

Dont think he said he was going to sign him but unlike an ever growing amount of our fans i don't believe the hype of the English pl Ki would do fine down south infarct is prob more suited to the game down there his problem for us is he very rarely gets a run of games in the same position.

The difference between Ki and Kagawa is that Kagawa is a top drawer footballer with the stats to back it up in a top notch league.

Even Lee Chung-Yong is an established player in a quality league. With everyone fit Ki doesn't even get a game for Celtic in the SPL.

If we somehow manage to dupe a team into paying 6 million upwards for Ki it would be a masterstroke.
