I know and I agree but I'm just re-stating one of the more unfortunate aspects of contemporary football. I'm not endorsing the fact that managers are now given next to no time.

    Square hole, round peg.

That sums up Deila's tactics and the players he has to work with.

He can't change the players, change the tactics. Use the players you have to the best of their ability.

Trying to hammer a screw with a screwdriver.

As I said, ask a mod to merge them. Or don't.

    Up to you, really.

I know mate, wasn't snapping at your or anything. I just don't see our board sacking Delia with the same speed as clubs south of the border jettison their managers.

I know. I do think that Deila's luckier in that sense - but the SPL is influenced by the same media culture as the EPL and takes the EPL as its template as much as it can so sacking the manager after shorter and shorter periods shouldn't come as a surprise.

How long does an SPL manager last on average the last two seasons? Must find out...

Why would you jump to them? Roy Keane wouldn't have fitted in and Larsson said he wasn't ready for it which is very noble and admirable. Can't we just get Gordon Strachan back and all be happy?

Lennon made a * team a good team in his first couple of games. Ronnys dome the opposite.

No way is sacking him the answer. We are in a transition and he needs time to sort this woeful * squad out.

It has not been a good start. I feels that Deila atm is very concerned, it has not gotten where he wants it, and I am not talking about the result, but his tactics and the players he has.
I fear that this will continues, as most of the loans are more board signings than manager signings, and I think Deila should try to adapt his tactics into the team he has, and not the otherway around. This will be the ultimate test, and I would give it to winter to see where we are in the league and Europa. If it doesnt work, and the board has not intention to give the manager any backing, I think he will be gone before the spring arrives.

So any manager we brought in would be in this position?

Including Lennon if he was still here.

    Really?

I would give Delia til Jan to see how he preforms in Europa league and spl.
We need finish second in Europa league and be 7 points clear in spl come end Dec to restore a bit faith in him. Time will tell if he can do it. We just pointed pat fenlon off irish league. Pat done well in europe and in Ireland but failed outside his comfort zones.
