Aye thought he was poor tonight, looked fairly sluggish tbh.

He's not been bad this season, far from it, but he's still not hit the heights under Ange, and I don't think a system change is the issue. Maybe not fully fit yet?

If he was at his peak level, things might've been even better tonight. Not at his best, but having a great season.

Need a big performance from him in Madrid, that's for sure.

Can tell he didn't have the CL experience last season as he seemed a bit overawed by it all.

He was toiling for the last half an hour or so, looked absolutely knackered. Same could be said of a few in fairness, but playing full back in our system you really need to be able to continue to cover the ground for a full 90.

That said, he defended well and can’t fault his attitude.

Everyone has an off day at the office. He will be coming back bigger and stronger.

I agree with this it will be interesting to see if Ralston gets a game at the weekend. The team put a lot into that last night and it will be the 3rd game in 6 days. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a couple of changes. Either that go with the same from the start and try blow them away and then make changes.

This short run of games is pretty intense until the next international break.

He gave one of his WC performances, against better opposition he toils a bit. Which is understandable but will grow into his role.

He's been quite poor all season tbf. I'm sure he'll come good though.

Probably it tbh. He’s played some amount of football in the last year or so. Full MLS season, straight into the World Cup, and then almost immediately into the SPFL season at its midway point, with a Hun game as his debut to boot.

He was out injured over the summer so it wouldn't be too surprising if he's not at 100% just now.

Aye he’s still getting his sharpness up, he’ll be fine. It’s maybe just his confidence in his ankle still isn’t 100%, * like that takes time.

He's been underwhelming this season, let's hope he can kick on sooner rather than later.

Did Alistair Johnston suffer a concussion?

It wasn’t a concussion. He felt a bit funny but he’ll be okay. I spoke to him afterwards and the medical team. We didn’t want to take any risk with it, so we took him off and put Tony on.

Finally, Alistair Johnston. I know he took the ball straight in the face from a very short distance from Rocky Bushiri. How is he?

I just spoke to the medical team there. They said he was fine, it was just at that moment he felt a wee bit funny, but I think overall he’s fine.

Looked a sore one but not sure if it was bad enough for him to come off tbh.

    He has been stoic defensively.

Good to hear that he's fine and it wasn't serious, not a concussion, but he will still have to miss the St Mirren game, as it was ruled a concussion sub during the game.

It's not worth risking for his health, and if he wasn't feeling it he could have made a mistake. It was definitely the right decision.

He should've come off straight away and the medical team should've have overruled any 'I'm fine' coming from him. Football is in the dark ages with this sort of thing.
