If he went in full pelt without hesitating he’d have won the ball cleanly and put Barisic in the stands.

He better hope nobody from the DSS was watching those post match celebrations. :giggle1:

Absolutely love him. You just know Kent wakes up about 5 times a night drenched in sweat and checking under his bed for AJ.

Nup, he’d have cleared the ball and been well out the road. It was 100% intentional.

    “Nup?” :56:

You are so good at coming across as a complete throbber, even in the most unassuming of ways.

That’s not very nice now, is it? And from a fellow Celtic fan as well.

Apparently he has got swelling just now so they can't scan him. The hope is it is just bad bruising or ligaments.

Fingers crossed he's back at it asap. We're tremendous with him down the right. My favourite Celtic player, hands down.

Alistair Johnston is out of this weekend’s potential title decider at Hearts but Treble-chasing Celtic hope he will be fit for the Scottish Cup final.

The Canadian international limped off in Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final win over Rangers after he injured his right ankle. Record Sport understands the early consensus is Johnston is likely to be out for three to four weeks, although it depends on how he reacts to treatment.

The worst case scenario is he could miss the main bulk of Celtic’s top six fixtures, starting with Sunday’s trip to Hearts, where they could seal the league title. The fact the Scottish CupFinal against Inverness is on June 3 gives Johnston the chance to be back pushing for that.

The right-back, a January arrival from Montreal Impact, came off second best in a challenge on Borna Barisic. The 24-year-old was seen on crutches and wearing a moon boot on the pitch after the final whistle.

He impressed at the World Cup and has been a big player for Ange Postecoglou’s side since he replaced Josip Juranovic who left for Union Berlin in January. The news is another blow for Postecoglou although he has cover in Anthony Ralston.

I can't remember a time when we signed so many players who just hit the ground running doing well. It's great!

Would be massive boost to have him back before the Cup Final. I keep saying this but I am a huge fan already of Johnston. Not just incredibly an upgrade IMHO on Juranovic but also clearly he has bought into Celtic and who we are as a club.

Celtic full-back Alistair Johnston might play again this season while Cameron Carter-Vickers is expected to be back for the start of next term.

Canada international Johnston joined the post-match celebrations at Hampden on crutches after suffering a lower-leg injury following a challenge on Rangers defender Borna Barisic in Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final.

Carter-Vickers was the best player on the park despite playing through a knee injury which has ended his campaign but Celtic have received positive news following his operation.

Johnston will sit out Sunday’s game against Hearts at Tynecastle as Celtic bid to get a win which will secure a second cinch Premiership title under Ange Postecoglou.

But the 24-year-old could be fit ahead of the Scottish Cup final against Inverness on June 3.

“He got a significant knock,” Postecoglou said. “We will see. There is still a chance he will be available before the end of the season but it will be a week-by-week thing and we will see how he goes.

    Just can't get enough
In all honesty I'd rather he just rested and came back for pre season don't want to rush him back for the cup final and aggravate it even more. Ralston should be more than enough to deal with Inverness.
