It was no where near his knee *

You can have hairline fractures and walk on them for hours after you have done them.

Broke my ankle playing rugby and got on the * after the game and hobbled around all night. Wasn't till the morning that I couldn't walk on it. Touch wood it isn't a break/fracture but I wouldn't be surprised if its a minor one.

Fibular fractures are far less serious than tibial fractures. He's a hard * and they haven't put the moon boot on him for no reason.

I remember seeing a 60 year old farmer in A&E who walked in 2 days after a fibular fracture caused by being booted in the leg by a cow.

Here's hoping it's just heavy bruising on the bone :60:

What a player, just goes to show the difference in our scouting since Ange came in that we identified him and had the deal done before the World Cup.

Moon boots are often precautionary. We will find out soon, I imagine he has had an x-ray already. I still think at worst he will be back for the start of the season.

    Definite mentalist.

Think he'll be out for a few weeks at least as it did look nasty. Doesn't dampen his spirit one bit though.

I thought he was outstanding before having to go off today, as he has been since coming in. You wouldn’t have known Kent was playing that first half and when he did touch the ball Johnston was all over him to get it back.

Credit to Ralston he was similarly good when he came on and looks like he will get a run to the end of the season now.

I'd imagine it was swelling so they put the boot on and he'll go for x-ray and scan tonight/tomorrow and be assessed from that. Can't see us using any serious medical facilities onsite at an 'away' stadium

    Just seen the collision again.

Dare I say it, he was slightly hesitant going in which isn’t like him.

Feel like he could’ve slid and took everything out with him and it wouldn’t have happened.

Thought he did everything that was asked of him.

Gutted for him with the injury but I can't see him not being ready for the start of next season or thereabouts.

Ralston is deserving of a runout anyway.

I love Johnston though. He is such an upgrade on JJ. Undisputed. Hard as *, too.

Aye, I thought the same at the time tbh. He didn’t fully commit & ended up injured sadly. Still love him though.

Hopefully nothing serious but looked a nasty one with a lot of bend in the bottom of his shin. What a player he’s been, solid as *.

That's exactly why he got injured..

The ball was there, and man. He hesitated too long and only kicked in to Barisic's leg and shin-pad in the end..

He was terrific before that as well..

It was exactly like him, he intentionally held back a half a second so he took Barisic.

In hindsight maybe not the smartest decision he’s made.
