He did that, but he also had a few belters and one notable absolute class one to Maeda in behind that if he looped the header in it would be praised like *. He was noticeably, majorly noticeably, better when Kuhn came back.

AJ and Kuhn though, they have a partnership that’s seamless. AJ if he is behind Yang I’m not sure if he could do much better.

This season particularly AJ’s been unreal, and a much better option than Ralston. But he’s not had to play behind Yang really, and AJ and Kuhn returning on the wing is so much an upgrade there, but it’s the full wing there. Ralston was much better with the better players on that wing, I love the * so a shameless apologist for him but I don’t think that’s nonsense.

I like him and overall he's been good for us but he was horrendous today and has been below his own standards for a while now. We need quality to compete for the RB position with him but I wouldn't hold your breathe.

Looked like he absolutely bottled it!!! Done nothing to help his teammates and was hiding all day. Should be ashamed of himself.

For someone who thrives on playing for Celtic, loves being here and loves getting stuck in against they *...he was shocking in every aspect of the game and that just disappoints me greatly.

Said it on the match thread he was awful today. Not sure what he was at today. There was a pass late on in ther 2nd half where he just booted it out between their goals and corner flag. There wasn't one of our players within 20yrds of the so called pass. He was bullied out of it today like the rest of them.

To think of his 1st game for us. Straight on in the thick of it & he stood up.

    Today was rank rotten.

No excuses for him today, had his debut at Ibrox yet today he was weak and nervous, probably worse game he has had for us.

Probably his poorest game for us today. Absolute rank.

Alistair Johnston admitted his side were not good enough during their 3-0 defeat to Rangers, before condemning the late-gate incident that saw teammate Arne Engels hit with a coin thrown from the crowd.

Johnston said he's played football in places like Central America where throwing missiles onto the pitch is more commonplace, but said it's always disappointing when it happens.

During his post-match press conference at Ibrox, he said: "I saw that [Engels] got hit just above the eye there. It's an unfortunate situation.

"We're just lucky that it didn't hit him right in the eye… I've played in some other places in Central America where they're throwing more than just coins at you.

"You feel pretty safe. It's unfortunate. Ideally, you don't want anything being thrown on the pitch. It's one thing, you know, the words and the chants, whatever. You can get through that.

"But yeah, you just hope that everyone respects the players on the pitch no matter what team they play for

When asked by journalists if he was aware of other missiles being thrown onto the pitch, Johnston added: "No, I was not. But again, it's something that unfortunately happens. And again, in an ideal world, it's not happening.

"That's the unfortunate case where it hits someone. And look, if that hits them in the eye, it's probably a pretty serious matter. So I just caution everyone just to be smart.

"Again, it's humans out there. It's someone's son. So let's just refrain from chucking things at guys' heads, ideally.
