Performance second half kinda came out of nowhere.

Particularly with him being as good going forward. Never really been his strong point.

He seems to be developing a solid partnership with Kuhn. Since Kuhn got into the team and started to show well there has IMHO been a clear uptick in Johnston's performances as well.

Good point here, very possible his confidence has been restored having a good player ahead of him on the wing. Delighted he's back on form either way.

He was at fault for the second and third goals. Yes, the centre halves should have done better when the crosses came in, but he was standing so far off the winger for both deliveries. Really poor.

He was absolutely * and also fantastic at different points today.

Needs to badly find some consistency for next season.

Agreed, second and 3rd goals were nearly identical. Can’t let Hoilett put in those balls so easily

His defending was a mixed bag but put in a couple of decent crosses, tried to get forward and got an assist. More than what could be said of Taylor's contributions.

Needs to do a better job of closing players down and preventing crosses.

Aye he has a habit of that..

Leaves too much space or doesn't do enough to stop the crosses..

Yeah that's inexcusable really. Basics of defending. He knows Hoilett is right footed, yet allowed him twice to cut inside and put a cross in. Under no pressure.

    We need better.

Question marks looming over him now.

If the rest of the squad is sorted, it's not a major concern. But right back is starting to become an area we should certainly be keeping an eye on improving now.

    This.

I said in the transfer thread but RB is an area we could do with strengthening in. He doesn't really have that competition from Ralston. Same as Taylor left side

Shat myself at the penalties when he stood up and took it well. Impressed.

Centre halves and LB really should have been better positioned and tracking that back post runner.

AJ was kne of our better performers but yeah should have done better but can't solely blame him for those

To be honest I think AJ, Scales and Taylor should take responsibility for the goals, Scales in particular doesn’t really fill me with confidence just now at CB. I think Nawrocki is due a start now.

Pretty atrocious today. Had one or 2 good games but back to thinking he's just not very good too often to be a first choice.

I've always backed AJ for his attitude but when it comes to the crunch I have to say he makes the same mistakes. Weird because he can look just as bad as he is good in games, stopping crosses for example, he should be aware that its been his weakness in recent games and should be showing more each time.
