    Reported on SS website - also seen today that we've apparently made a £4m bid which was rejected with Heerenveen holding out for £5m, although I'm trying to confirm a source for that!

    Its not even the fact we need to replace hooper, wanyama had left with no replacement and also wilson, all these players left at a profit. Its sickening to watch this deadline get closer with nothing looking likely to happen

    We should really be looking at buying players like him if we want to make progress in Europe. It's fantastic if you could qualify for Europe every year but at some stage you've got to show a little ambition and prove to the fans that you want to make strides.

    And yes, I do realise that we've only really had one good European season recently but you get what I mean.

    The deadline is not important. You can register one player as a wildcard right up until the day before the match. We are not gonna be signing anyone else that needs to play so we have a week to get this signing done, not 10 hours!
