Surely he'd want to play with Celtic now, score in the Champions League and become a legend with the Hoops? Why kick around at feckin' Herenveen when you could be here ;-)

 

He may want to come but celtic will not pay the fee that is getting said

Thing is, now we're in the CL and need a goalscorer, 6 or 7 million would not be amiss for a striker that's scored so many goals last season for a provincial dutch club... plus he's got 3 in 2 this season already.

Celtic need to realise that if we can sell a player for 12.5 million, and then another few on top of that for a combined total of about 7 million, and then getting into the Champions League Group of Champions with class allllll over the place, you need to dip into your pocket and buy quality players sometimes, for potentially 'over the odds' - to speculate to accumulate.

Nobody can tell me this is not true. I know our signing policy well and love it, but occasionally, we have to put our money where our mouth it.

 

Couldn't agree more mate. I do believe that the board are aware of this to a large extent and are prepared to splash out for the right player.

 

Sign him for 5-6-7 million.. Have him for two years and sell him for double. Simple.

 

I am not ignoring the signing of Pukki today; he could turn out to be a class bit of business.

Alfred is clearly a touch of class though.
I'd * love it if we signed tonight.

There are rumours now on Twitter of Dutch Sky Sports saying that Celtic's move for Heerenveen striker Finnbogason is back on. Will Celtic be willing to spend at least £5m? Is there even such a thing as 'Dutch Sky Sports'? I have serious doubts on both fronts.
