Agree with this. He's one who'll probably go on to have a good career in La Liga or something, but just not cut out for this Celtic side for a number of reasons.

Cut our losses and replace him in the summer.

 

I don't get how we could scout him, see what his defending (this was highlighted by stats guys and Lanus fans aswell), passing and general decision making is like then think "Ange will love him as an inverted full back!!"

Tbh i'm convinced he wasn't even our first choice target for the position.

Bolingoli and Laxalt were like prime Roberto Carlos compared to Bernie..

 

I could be interested to see him play on the wing at the weekend to see if he's any better if the defensive side of the game is more or less removed for him

 

He can’t even take a man on. Tried countless times tonight and got tackled straight away…and also couldn’t make simple passes to teammates. Could put him anywhere on the pitch and he’s gonna be like he has every game, dugshite

 

Ange expects his wingers to work hard tracking back though. Maeda and Jota both do it well. Haksabanovic's lesser work rate going back is probably why Maeda starts over him more too, despite him being a technically superior player to Maeda.

 

He’d be well suited to a team who like their full backs to overlap constantly and get crosses into the box, in a league nowhere near as physical as ours.

We need to just cut our losses on him in the summer, recoup as much as we can on him and look for a replacement. It’ll never work out for him here.

Shame as he seems a likeable *, just will never be suited.

 

So many similarities with Bolingoli, and they’re all bad.

From the first touch like a brick wall, to the clueless defending, right down to the making a * of it off the park as well.

 

The passage of play that led to our pen basically summed him up. Overhits and misdirects a 3 yard pass to Ralston one second then plays a lovely weighted pass to Maeda for the pen.

Was doing well until the sending off then just fell to pieces, gave it away constantly and couldn't make the simplest of passes.

I thought Naylor was a decent player.

He was like Marcelo compared to the likes of Bolingoli.
