The Brazilian club have agreed a deal worth £5m with the Scottish champions.

Bernabei, 24, spent the Brazilian season on loan at Internacional, with the club having an exclusive option to buy him for £7m before December 31, 2024.

The Serie A club were unable to fund the option clause and entered negotiations with Celtic this month.

Celtic signed Bernabei in 2022 for just under £4m. He struggled to break into the side under Ange Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers.

In August 2023, he was fined £1,875 at Glasgow Sheriff Court for a drink-driving incident the previous year.
