I think we had written this boy off as a dud and probably expected not much for him.

Reckon now it's a bit of a bonus with what we could get so spend the money on Tierney wether it be in a transfer fee or wages. As long as we don't run him into the ground again he will be fine.

Him and Maeda on the left would be class.

Everybody making out the Brazilian league is good :giggle1:

He’ll come back here the same player, I’d take what we can get for him.

Think it's got to be get out money back and re invest. He is a bit lightweight. If Taylor goes bring in a stronger LB as I assume Valle is offski to

Well that probably tells you how Brazilian national team on a slump if a unwanted left back can become the best in that league think it’s just comes down to the point that defence does not exist in that part of the world

Majority of times he played for us he was a liability. Positionally very poor. Was a bright spark when attacking at times but personally think if we can get our money back we've done well.

My lasting memory of him attacking is being through one on one against the huns, then passing to no one. :56:

Maybe the footballing talent is there, certainly attack wise. I thought he was really poor defensively and his performances in Brazil maybe don’t focus on that.

I think it’s the mental side of playing here. Like, he looked utterly woeful. He’s clearly showing something different in Brazil but the environment here, it’s such a demanding place to play.

It’s best he moves on. He gets a move to somewhere he’s comfortable playing and we get a decent bit of cash to reinvest back into the squad. Best for all parties he moves on.

Maybe as well the environment and cultural differences lend itself more towards suiting Bernabei over in Brazil.

If you got a decent pay packet, can only imagine living Brazil compared to Scotland is a tad different

There’s that, and standards of professionalism expected at a club like us and also the role he was playing. He is one of those players with a specific skillset, and it’s LWB. LB or LW he’s poor, he’s just suited to that Lwb role.

But Rodgers in his first preseason rated him, he was getting a chance, and the professionalism part stopped that. Lateness and missing team meetings, Rodgers got shot. But not immediately, he liked him as a player and he done well preseason the chances he got, and got punted as quickly due to not having the standards expected for BR.

Ange scouted him and paid a decent fee for him, and much the same outcome, he never said publicly about him like was made clear with BR, but Ange would not stand for that either and in my mind thats a reason he wrote him off early as well. Him getting done for Drunk driving just further solidifies that for me

I know we're selling him but I wouldn't be totally against giving him a chance until the end of the season. Pretty sure we won't, as we should sell while his value is high.

Not for me in terms of giving him another chance, we would regret it when we then have to sell for a small fee in the summer.

We should definitely sell him and Palma just now.

I would try get Nawrocki out permanently and Holm and Yang on loan.

Anything above what we paid for him would be a bonus.

Return to sender comes to mind. If we can get our dosh back, and invest it in a good left back like Owen Wijndal of Ajax, we will be going some.

The guy that scouted Bernabei should get his * felt.
