I wouldn't be so sure we let Bernabie go last January on loan leaving us with Taylor

    https://celtsarehere.com/medical-booked-another-january-parkhead-exit-set-to-be-confirmed/

The move follows a verbal agreement between Barcelona and Como, with the deal now awaiting the completion of formalities. Valle’s departure raises fresh speculation about a potential return for Kieran Tierney to Celtic Park, either this month or in the summer

Valle joined Celtic on loan from Barcelona last August to provide cover at left-back and compete with Greg Taylor for a starting role. The Spanish defender made 19 appearances across all competitions, contributing five assists during his time in Glasgow

Despite showing glimpses of promise, Valle struggled to establish himself as the first-choice option, with Taylor maintaining a strong hold on the position.

CeltsAreHere can confirm that Barcelona had no recall clause in Valle’s January loan deal, meaning Celtic had to approve the termination. With the deal now in its later stages, it allows the Spaniard to continue his development in Serie B with Como, who have secured a €6m exit clause as part of the agreement

I rate him tbh. Think he will forge a good career.

If he's away we must be confident in Tierney this window? Scales as back up would be risky and grim.

Hopefully Tierney is a done deal, but why not keep Valle till the Villa game? Could have even provided cover at LW since Maeda is suspended.

The lack of ambition regarding the Villa game baffles me. First we sell Kyogo right after the Young Boys win. Now we terminate Valle's loan deal. If we win at Villa, we have a chance to make the top 8, hence immediately qualify for the round of 16. We should play our strongest team at Villa.

The chance of a top 8 finish even with an unlikely victory is remote. We have done brilliantly well to get into the top 24. That is not being defeatist but if we had been offered that at the start of the year we would have been delighted. Valle has been a decent option for us but I wouldn't see him as vital to the Villa game in any way shape or form. Kyogo is a loss but Idah may well have been chosen to start the Villa game anyways.

The difficult part is to win the game. If we win, anything is possible. 15 points may secure us a top 8 finish.

Villa are 9th at the moment with 13 points. They cannot settle for a draw. If the game is tied in the second half, we'll have loads of spaces to attack. Btw, Kyogo thrives when attacking in space. He would have been perfect for this game.

We have a legit chance to beat Villa. They are a good team, but nothing special. The board acts as if it's a pre-season friendly and we couldn't care less about the result.

Alex Valle is similar to Aston Villa to be fair.

Interesting timing here. Does that mean we are confident of getting Tierney in this week then or are we really saying Scales is ok as back up at left back the rest of the season. Time will tell I guess.

It must be a kick in the baws for Taylor.
Signs 6 year ago as back up for Tierney.
Tierney leaves and Taylor has a good 5 year run as first choice.

Tierney comes back and Taylor is back where he started....6 year of hard work and he'll be back being back up to the same player
