I admit my bias towards Taylor and I appreciate that others see players differently. That’s what makes this all fun

he got skinned for fun against dortmund as was directly involved in capitulating and leading to one of their goals in the second half - Taylor equally had first half mare alongside crazy legs crane.

as I said, he will probably do well in a different league and a different style of play, but I personally don’t think he’s the player that others think he is.

good luck to the boy, but a daft loan signing with no buy option.

the club has had at least the last two years to find a proper upgrade on Taylor and have failed spectacularly on that front.

    I rate him.

I get that we need to take the chance on Tierney but I'm struggling to get excited about it as he's genuinely had Aaron Ramsey level of injuries the past 3 or 4 years and we laughed at the Huns when they brought him in.

I hope this all works out perfectly but fully reserving judgement till he gets a run of games if and when he signs. We will need competent back up.

I don't get people saying he was worse than Taylor defensively. He was far better winning headers and didn't get caught up the park constantly.

Latter part is mainly due to how Taylor is being played but he doesn't have the pace to get back in position when we do get caught out. McGregor doesn't either so we're constantly left short when countered.

you say that regarding Tierney but in the last 4 years just league games he’s played the following

    20/21 27 games
    21/22 22 games
    22/23 27 games
    23/24 20 games
    Total:96 in 4 seasons

He’s averaging 24 league games a season the last 4 seasons that’s still a good few games so this massive injuries is almost not as bad as made out
