Shame to see him go if that's the case, really think there's a player there. With Tierney's injury record and Taylor's contract situation it still feels like we're not really addressing the left back situation.

 

Too weak and slack defensively......and in possession really..

He won't be signing for us with Tierney. We need better..

Might be in the minority but I’m not that bothered whether he stays or goes tbh … I think defensively he’s been a bit suspect at times and manages to nearly fall on his * about 5 times per game.

That being said, he definitely done his bit until this point, wish him well for the rest of his career.

 

Wouldn't see it as a huge loss if he's recalled and goes elsewhere.

Talented for sure, couple of performances he's look really good, but I doubt he see's his long term future at Celtic. If we can get Tierney in this window and manage to secure a permanent alternative / cover at LB, I'd be happy with that.

 

Doesn't look good enough for me. Has had chances but very slack at times.

 

Can’t really make any judgment on him as he’s not played enough. Too often throwing into the games when we are not at it and expected to changesthings so not easy. I think he has pretty big potential but he’s not had long enough here for us to gamble on it.

 

He was excellent v Ross County, excellent..

Was poor last night.. and that kinda sums up a lot of players over the last few weeks..

 

I really think he's better than Taylor and much more scope to improve.

 

Think we may regret this one.

I know it's just a loan, so not much can he done as such.

But I don't think he's gonna make it at Barcelona, but he would be a star for us with another season or two of developing.

Ideally, KT and Valle in permanently for the start of next season would be the best thing in my eyes.

Someone for Valle to learn from and certainly yet plenty of game time rotating with.

I wouldn’t be gutted if we’ve seen the last of him.

Think there’s clearly a lot of potential but he’s not wowed me. Would rather he started over Taylor but he’s not clearly the better player.

Have to say I expected more after the hype surrounding him.

 

Celtic will have the final say over the immediate future of Alex Valle after big spending Serie A outfit Como stepped up their bid to land the Barcelona kid.

The ambitious Italian side – who’re managed by former Arsenal ace Cesc Fabregas – have made a move to bag the left back on a loan deal with a view to a permanent move. Celtic are attempting to secure former favourite Kieran Tierney on a pre-contract for the summer – but could strike a deal to snap the 27-year-old up this month.

But Valle’s fate could hinge on the Hoops pulling off the blockbuster Tierney move. But Record Sport understands Barcelona CAN’T sell the youngster from under the feet of Parkhead chiefs.






Arsenal star Tierney – who recently returned from injury – is understood to be keen on a return to Celtic and could negotiate an early exit from his Emirates contract. Record Sport understands there has been no fresh movement and Celtic won’t consider a Valle exit until the situation is clearer

 

Not seen much in him to be honest, especially his defending.
Bit of a strange one in the first place with no option to buy, what were we expecting from the loan??
Reckon be better shipping him out now and, if we dont get KT this window, just look at another loan deal for someone that can defend better.

Alex Valle is very close to going on loan to Como, which is coached by Cesc Fabregas in the Italian Serie A. The operation depends on Kieran Tierney , an Arsenal player
returning to Celtic Glasgow, the team where the Barcelona player is. Everything indicates that this return will take place in this winter market, according to sources consulted by this newspaper. If so, Valle would leave the Scottish club since Tierney also plays as a left back .

Barcelona have already been informed of this possible move and have given the green light to it. The Barça sporting management are in favour of the player going to Como where he will play in a very favourable context according to their criteria. What the Catalan club has also made clear is that the loan will only be for six months as Flick wants to have the player in the pre-season of the next campaign

Last season Valle was playing for Levante where he had a great year. For this reason, the full-back did the pre-season with the first team where he performed at a good level. However, both parties decided that it was best for him to go on loan where he could get more minutes since Balde was the clear starter at Barcelona.

Alex Valle renewed his contract with Barcelona before leaving on loan to Celtic. He did so for one more season, meaning his commitment ends in June 2026

 

Young guy being thrown into a shambolic defence at times. Good luck to him, think he has a decent future ahead of him.

 

Would've been terrific with us if Rodgers didn't have his wee soft spot for Taylor.
